There was an auction on ebay for a supposedly brand new set of takeoff rims (from a 2000), with "barely used" Pilot sports. Now it's gone without a trace... usually if the seller closes the auction early it says so, but this one has no record at all that the auction ever existed?

Any ideas why?

They pulled them as UN safe sellers I got a email as the highest bidder. May not have even owned the rims I don't know but that is what my email said

I never understood why sniping is a big deal anyway... if you put in the actual highest price that you're willing to pay, and someone goes $100 more at the last second, well, that's $100 more than what you were willing to pay.

But this was a set of 2000 18" rims, looked very nice, with brand new pilot sports, that had only gotten up to like $1050.

For those interested, I am selling the factory 18" wheels/tires off my 99 GTS. There is extremely light curb rash on the right side wheels (both). The wheels/tires have 5500 miles on them.

Also, I would prefer a somewhat local arrangement in the MD, DE, VA, PA, NJ area where meeting half way is a possibility.

If interested, please email me at [email protected].

Thanks.

fair enough, if it's a fair bid.

seems a touch too coincidental when something appears to be closing at a good value, the intent of bidding in my eyes, and someone that is not been actively bidding on the item swoops in last second and "wins" the item.

The % of these swoopers that are connected to the seller (or is the seller under a different ebay guise) is well beyond what ebay would like us to believe.

I know I've seen many of items, some Viper items, that end up listed again at a later date from the same seller, sometimes 6 months later. Funny who that works out......
