If you still feel like taking a picture of your wheel, post it up and I'll take a picture of mine from the same angle and post it up.

It's minor differences but I think the HRE looks better.

The I Forged wheel looks great:2tu:

I'll get to it in a minute. Hope you dont mind Winter Rotors...:omg:

Geeze... I am almost embarassed by these rotors. This is what 3 months of not moving does! The lips look smaller than they are in these angles, but they are the same as yours, so they should appear the same if you use these angles.

If they were the same price, I would definitely go with HREs. I like the extra attention to the way the spokes blend to the rim as well as the look of the thinner spoke. The I forges are nice but I can see the difference.

Umm..... I am failing to see what you think the big difference is between your clean HRE's and my dirty iForged wheels that still had the tire mounting soap and oil from the new rotor splashed all over inside them?

The iForged wheels have a thicker spoke by a hair, and are pretty much identical otherwise.

so..............what do you see that I dont?

Dont get me wrong, I am a dealer for both. But when I have a set of HRE 545R's sitting next to a set of Astras- I scratch my head to see where all that extra money went. Change the center cap, and nobody would ever notice.

Thats it. I'm going right now to take a half decent picture.

I agree, I've sported iforged wheels on my last 3 cars. I like the, much cheaper, just be patient when ordering, could take a while. I had the Astras on my 2000GTS. They also have a model called the Aero, which has thiner spoked.

You guys are comparing the iForged Astra to the HRE 545. A better comparison visually would be the iForged Aero, it has thinner spokes. There are subtle differences, like the radiused area around the rivets on the HRE, where the iForged is flat on that surface.

Construction wise, they are the same. Most wheel companies use the same hoops from the few suppliers that make them. I'm also a wheel dealer and think HRE are overpriced for what they are. If you want to see some top-notch machining, check out the details on a Fikse wheel, especially the backside. It is all milled out behind the lug mounting pad and spokes to make it even lighter. I'll try and get some pics.

yeah I looked at the Aeros before I bought the HRE's and yes the Aeros would be a better comparison. With those I thought the spokes looked too thin and the wheel looked flat compaired to the 545R also didn't like how the spokes ended.

It's very close but not quite. Worth the extra dollars to me.

They look real good on that NSX.

So some people can see the difference and some can't.

As for the HRE bad rep yeah they have had some serious problems in the customer service area. I had to send my wheels back because the powder coat was peeling off. It took them a month and a half to get them fixed right and they tried to half ass the repairs. Their customer service did **** when I had to use it. So it would be hard for me to buy from them again but I like their wheels better so I probably will. I don't know how their service is now, but if I have another problem with these wheels I would not send them to HRE for the repairs, I'd find someone else to work on them.

I am going to have to agree with ILLSMOQ for the obvious reasons. Seriously, I do like the subtle differences the HRE offers, particularly where the spoke blends with the outer rim, the spacing and placement of the bolts, and the proportional size of the lip to the rim. Also the iforged have a much more square loook to the outer ring of the center section - where it bolts to the rim. Looks at the pics compared to the HRE pictures I think you can see a difference in design and quality. The HREs just look more finished in my opinion.

Quite frankly I think alot of rim manufactures copied a lot of the HRE designs.
