I'm looking at getting some Iforged "REV" rims. I would like to know does anyone get the inside polished? Is doing that a total waste of money ($300.00)? I realize that cleaning the inside of the wheel requires removing it off the car but does it look good to be able to see through the spokes and have it all bling and shinny:dunno: The car isn't a garage queen (i drive it a lot) but I do enjoy cleaning it up real good at times.

Check out my threads of the issues I have had with IForged...

Hopefully you have no issues....

If the car is driven that much I don't think it would be a good idea... polished rims really need to be cleaned almost everytime your out... so they will probably get messed up pretty quick...

Also make sure you buy the Iforged rims through some reputable seller.. otherwise you wil be sorry...

My buddy got his HRE's done that way. I opted not to, my centers are going to be black and so I dont care if inside wheel is dark, dirty, I just want the outer lip to be the only thing shining.

I agree that chroming would be much better to clean..... Easier at least... Still don't let them get too dirty.....

I personally rather have the lip..... I think thats the better way to go...

Also check you seal when you get the rims... they really slacked on mine...

I redid one of the rear wheels... Now I have to do the other one...
Oh.. and my expense....

Chrome would probably be smart for the lip also... Just make sure you get chrome and not a polished setup if you pay extra for it...

Thanks for the Information!!

Iforged HRE Forgline??? They all have horror stories written about them. It's so hard to know anymore what company is going to turn out a good procuct and who will take care of a bad one? So I am just going to pray and trust I don't get crapped on by them.

As to Chrome Lips/Barrel vs the Polished. Is the high polished lips going to be that much a BI%^H to take care of? I don't mind a little wipe down, polish time here and there but if I will need to polish them all the time I may consider chome. Im getting the spokes in black.

Anyway if I did get the barrel polished or chromed and I decide to never clean the inside like some here mention would that look worse seeing through the wheel than not doing anything at all?

Polished wheels are only hard to maintain if the vehicle is a daily driver and sees rain. I never use polished wheels on my daily drivers, they are either painted or chromed. If this is mostly a garage queen, just apply some automotive wax to the polished surfaces each time you wash the car, they will stay spot free and won't oxidize/dull as badly that way.

As for inner hoops, the polished ones I've had were more of a hassle to clean and keep spot free. I eventually gave up on that and just kept the outsides very clean instead.
