I live in CT, and the roads are fairly clear of sand. There is some in the intersections and the sides of the roads, It has been a real rough winter for us this year...I feel like driving it now, I saw a couple of Vettes out today, so I am thinking of next week...I hate the thought of sand kicking up on my car..Am I being ANAL???....AL...

When the roads are free from salt and crap. When the winds die down a bit too.
Nothing like something flying across the street and hitting your car.

Oh, and whenever Heffner has her all dialed in! :D

I usually wait till the street sweepers start sucking up all the cinders and crap from winter. They are starting to come out now, but damn if I don't have my viper back.

I live in Canada and took the car out today.. no problem at all!! Just a lot of sand in the smaller towns though.

Why have the best car ever build if you don't drive it as much as you can?

No problem with salt after this upcoming f***ed up weekend of torrential rain. Figures it's finally warmer and now (as usual) it will rain every damn weekend.

Just a couple of more weeks and I will be out, I usually wait for the *** holes to get filled and give that tar some time to dry, I don't want that on my car.

My car is still relaxing in the sun with Mr. Macedo, LOL! Actually, the pistons took a LONG time to get in. The block is still at the machine shop as we speek.

It is planned to have her this month. I want to make Chuck's BBQ!

Good point on the potholes! I have some around here that would swallow my entire front end.

Next driving day is Sunday I hope (assuming no snow Saturday - i.e. no salt).

Roof was down for drives earlier this week. Sports cars are meant to be open top!

I drive mine all winter as long as there is no snow/ice on the ground. My thumb rule is that it's ok to drive on the 3rd day after snowfall if the roads are dry. Winterization is too boring. Same goes for the motorcycles too. I regularly drive them in 10-20F weather. Freezes my nuts off but I can't wipe the grin off my face. When I lived in Boston, I would winterize them from Dec-Feb.

Finally got it !

Have yet to miss 3 weeks in a row over the last 3.5 years! I DRIVE the car!!!

Same with me. Who the hell am I saving it for?? If it has to be painted for chips than so be it. At almost 80k I am not going to let it hold down the tiles in my garage.

I have had mine out every weekend all winter, as long as the road surfaces are dry. A little sand and salt washes off. I have enough wax on it for 10 cars, and 3M clear tape behind the wheel wells I don't sweat the sand. I bought the car to drive, not worship out in the garage. The car loves the cold air! :2tu:

TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing beats driving a VIPER!

Heart still pounding and pulse still racing - even after 2 beers and an hour has passed.

VIPER smile plastered across my face.

Adrenaline rush like no other after a couple of triple digit bursts (on a closed - private track of course).

Power and TORQUE still scares the SHI! out of me - always respect that V10 !

WOW ! WOW! WOW ! WOW!

MAN I LOVE THIS CAR.

Usually between the 2nd and 3rd week of April. By that time we've gotten some rain and the roads are fairly salt free. A little over a week ago, I would have said not this year...I still had 3-4 feet of snow on the level in our yard and 5-6 foot snowbanks at the end of the driveway. Now I'm down to a couple of feet with some actual yard showing on the south side. I don't ever remember seeing the snow melt as fast as it did last week. It was around 50 all week with a little rain thrown in. I'm shooting for next Saturday now, even though we will typically get more snow and the car will have to be parked for a couple of days off and on.

3rd drive of the year here (with no post April fools bad luck). Yipee. Waiting for roads to get warmer though. NO traction makes it easy to break the tires loose in third by adding throttle. Scares the heck out of the wife :)

Well, it could have been this weekend, but yesterday it rained all day and today I woke up to 4" of snow on the ground. Tomorrow it's supposed to get to 60 degrees. Pittsburgh sometimes has a yo-yo climate, but other than that, it still *****. I know California guys, laugh it up! I do so I don't cry....hate it here!
