does anybody bother to tape up there back quarters like right after the wheel along the bottom so ya dont get paint chips and rubber all stuck to the car?? Like when we do burnouts before getting ready to run ur tires are so sticky and it will pick up all the little rocks and throw them up on the back, just a thought..

Just spray a little WD40 around that area and you'll have minimal sticking.

One side note is don't put rain ex on your side windows before you go to the track. If you do when they write on it with shoe polish it doesn't stick and it flakes all over the place. You'll never be able to clean up all the little flakes from your plastic trim. Don't ask me how I know.....

Wd40 is going to wipe any wax you have on that part of the car maker sure to clean it off and reapply the next day. But good idea

I race nearly every wed and I just spray some detali spray on and wipe it off. As for rocks, most times the strip and the pit are pretty clean. I think rocks can be just about anywhere on the streets. A few weeks ago I ran over a 3/8 bolt and it ruined my rear tire. (500 to replace) So I think bad things are more likely to happen on the street than the drag strip.

I leave the rubber on for awhile, gives cops a reason to follow me longer than usual.

Getting the rubber out of the wheel wells is where it gets a lil tougher.

Get some black wax and wax the inside of the rear wheel well. I usually use 2 coats and the rubber on the inside comes off pretty easily after racing. I have seen a few people use painters(blue) tape on the painted area.
