i am not so sure this bad economy is entirely at fault here.

first of all, its december, and viper values always seem to be lower during the winter months.

secondly, all cars have over 20,000 miles on them.

the 2004 car - the values of all gen III cars were hurt when the 600 hp gen IV cars came out.

the 1996 car - it doesnt look like this car was taken care of. look at the interior pics and the engine pics especially. and whats wrong with the poor fitment of the hood?

i think someone got a good deal on the 2005 car.

Yah, guess that Copperhead's coming to Washington. That'll be great!

LOL, the '04s auction has a big picture of an 09 ACR but smaller pics of the 04.

There's a BLACK 99 Roe supercharged GTS for sale on this site for $39K. That one has 15K, 500mi on sc and 2K on wheel and tires I think. Man does it look clean.

Where is this economy going? Down

And how low will our car's value drop? Irrelevant to most of us as we love are vipers and would keep them and continue to drive em even if they were worth nothing. However, I will assure the Investors that prices will eventualy appreciate, if thats what your in it for.

Actualy to realy answer the question, the Value is Not dropping, the Price is dropping therefore Raising the Value :D

I bought my viper several months ago believing up to then I would never possess something like this. For whatever reason be it the economy or whatever, I do have it and get to enjoy an experience that not many do. I havent been this stoked about a rig since I raced asphalt on a 600 f2 back in the day. This car is the first thing I think about when I wake up and the last thing I think of before I go to sleep. I enjoy every minute working on it, looking for parts and have met some really cool people out of the deal. The value of it going up or down is irrelevant.

I have to agree with you. I think the nicer "premium" cars may be down a little but not like the others.

Here is a 1996 RT/10 for less than 19K:

eBay Motors: Dodge : Viper (item 110327831225 end time Dec-24-08 17:51:42 PST)

And a very nice 95 for less then $20K

eBay Motors: Dodge : Viper (item 190273452327 end time Dec-21-08 10:08:27 PST)

AN extremely low mileage 93 for $21K

eBay Motors: Dodge : Viper (item 140289440776 end time Dec-25-08 17:25:38 PST)http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...m=140289440776&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=004http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...m=140289440776&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=004

I wish I had Bill Gates kind of money, I would be buying everyone of these cars!

Are they higher mileage cars, sure. But for less then $20K, that's nuts.......................

I knew my Viper would depreciate after I bought it and would depreciate with every mile I drive it. I don't really think about it when the experience of driving it is truly priceless. I also wish I had more money and a bigger garage to fully take advantage of buying opportunities in this depressed economy.
