Hello:

I want to do the smooth tubes upgrade as described in the How To Article. I've already got the K&N's installed. I just need the tubes. I know Northwind sells a combo filter and tube kit, but I don't need the filter and it's too much to pay just for tubing. I also can't seem to find any auto or truck parts stores that can order a length of wire reinforced hose that size. Can anyone point me in the direction of a place to get the tubing at a reasonable price?

Thanks,

I stopped by my local Cummings dealer (over the road truck repair - engines) - worked great on my '95 RT - cost was very inexpensive

I'm replacing my polished steel smooth tubes with polished aluminum. When I get them, I'll sell the steel ones without the ends. They came from John B.

I don't know if matters to you or not, but I ended picking up the SnakeOyl tubes because they are 5-ply like the ACR style Mopar smooth tubes, just much less expensive. I have noticed a lot of silicon tubes are 2 or maybe 3-ply at the most, and I have actually seen these undulate under hard acceleration on a dyno. They are a little tougher to get on since they are more rigid.

Jon talked me into also getting EBC Greens (front break pads) and K&N filters - if you haven't done so already, they're a must.

It took me two months to get around to the 15 minute job of swapping out the pads, but I am REAL HAPPY! (Hint - don't remove the calipers to swap the pads (doh), just pop the two retaining pins and they come right out.)
