Works great, tough as nails, the entire front end of my car is covered. Also the side sills, side mirrors, door edges, around the gas cap, license plate. Invisible once installed.

Contact Ryan Tounsley there on the 3M film.

They also pieces that protect the headlignt and driving light lenses. (40 mil thick, I believe)

I went to an info meeting on the 3-M film product and it has an interesting history on its development during Desert Storm.

They also have the full, pre-cut kits including the back of the side mirrors. Ryan may be a vendor at VOI

I too bought the 3M tape for use under the side sills, but am concerned about heat damaging the film. Anyone know how much heat the 3M film can withstand?

I wonder how well the 3 m tape will work on the rear fascia when flames come out the tail pipe? Would it protect the clear coat from turning yellow?

I put it on the whole side sill and other places, and after 2500 miles, it looks like the 3M on the hottest parts of the side sills are starting to look like crinkle finish. But to see it you have to get down and look at angles in the light. At least there are no rock chips down there.

Is that the 8 mil stuff? I put it along the sills as well. I have 3000 miles, still have the cats in, and it hasn't gotten heat damage. Yet.

Thanks guys!! Marv, I've sent Ryan an e-mail. I'm thinking about putting this film along the entire bottom edge of the front fasia (I believe they call it the airdam). I already have the standard 3M film on the outer edges and looking for some extra protection!! Any thoughts?
