Which aspect of the Viper design element DON\'T you like the most?

More of a difficult question perhaps, but which aspect of the Viper design element do you least dislike? I can't think of any off the top of my head so i'm just curious as to what others think. Again, this applies to all generations. Thank you for everyone's input!

The clam shell hood :) It was a pain to work on the engine with that thing in the way.

How it gets owners of different generations to argue with each other.

The pedel placement, with certain shoes it causes a problem :)

Cheap seat side bolster wears out quick. Door wiring loom breaks quickly. Stock Alpine cd player is a pos.

None of the above diminishes my admiration for my Viper, it just "comes with the territory". Anyway, they are all fixable things.

Small lugage compartment. I'd probably be tempted to take it on longer trips if it had more space.

Other than that, and it is a very small issue, the only thing I don't like about it is how the design somehow prompts people to ask how much it cost as much as they ask how fast it is!

No battery disconnect switch readily accessable (for those of us who have to go into hibernation for several months).

Interior cabin heat, especially in the summer. Still too hot despite the usual mods.

Interior cabin heat? I never have that problem but the car rarely goes over 60mph. How about the solid hood design? Imagine a clear glass hood (maybe not a complete glass hood but 50-80% exposure)? These engines are beautiful especially for you TC and SC maniac's. That would be MAMMARY. I wonder if this has ever been done?

Me again. I really like the look of the exposed side pipes so I dont like that change that they made going from the Gen 1 to the Gen 2.

How about the fact that it's an American car, and as such should have enough leg room for (or adjustability to accomodate) men between 5'10" and 6'5". But no, I have to drive with my leg pinned between the steering wheel and the door.

Windshield wipers that slap back and forth like the vacuum powered ones on my grandfather's '50 Dodge used to.

Sheetmetal screws to hold on the sidesills. How much would it have cost to do it right?

Agreed! But there are a few others that I have to go with after thinking for about 5 minutes:

Heating/AC System - Temp not adjustable
Interior Leather - Wears Out To Fast
Soft Top - Could Be Easier To Work With But I Can Live With It
Stock Wheels - Clear Coat Comes Off To Easily But I Solved It With Chroming
No Trunk Release - Neither Inside Or On Key Fob

Even though there are these few problems, I think we can tell I still love the car as I purchased one :D .

I hate everything SRT except the brakes. The only thing
I dislike about my Gen2 is the fact you cannot transfer
the AC to the footwells, or the heat up into the cab -
then it would be perfect.

The Look of the GEN3

NO real windows in the GEN1....If GEN1's had windows, I think more people would have them and totally modify them.

I agree! I would still have mine, if that were the case. I just had to go with a Gen 3, as a better daily driver.

Re: Which aspect of the Viper design element DON\'T you like the most?

Moderately hate:
Clunky rear view mirrors.
Inoperative HVAC temp knob.
Lack of dead pedal.
Inability to heel-toe.
Would cruise control really have killed the "race car" image any more than power windows and A/C?

Really hate:
That the dealer cares more about selling and servicing Jeeps and Chargers, and my Viper gets put back to the end of the line at service time.

Item listed above as a hate, that I really like:
I LOVE the windshield washers. A dainty and elegant dance on this otherwise brutish car. A nice, unexpected contrast.

wow that's wild! I think heel-toe is so much easier in the Viper than any other car I've driven, and I have small feet (even for a female)

Re: Which aspect of the Viper design element DON\'T you like the most?

Although I am not an owner, I'll answer the specific question SSR9999 asked in his post.

The design elements that I LEAST DISLIKE are the curves, fender flares, and just the overall "in your face" looks!

Sorry SSR9999, I just had to nit-pick.
