My advice to your 2 prior posts would be to ask the owners to let you look at their maintenance records over the miles indicated and make sure they were properly serviced. If they don't have paperwork they can have their dealer/Viper Tech run a computer history. Make sure the recalls(998) were performed correctly(do SEARCH here for more detail). Next you should indicate where you are and ask a VCA member(s) via this Board that lives in your area to help look at the cars with you as they know what to look for to determine if a VIPER is in good condition. Ask for a test drive or ride along with the owner. After you narrow down to the one YOU want ask someone to run a carfax and if O.K. buy it. IMO the mile examples you are looking at are all in the acceptable range. Ask the ACR owner if he tracked the car and if so how many track miles. Bottom line is good condition regardless of miles if you're going to drive the car. If you're thinking investment buy stocks after the next impending major bottom making market correction occurs within the next 9 months. Good luck!
17,000 on a 2000 is a low mileage car. Condition of cars should guide your choice. Use the "Viper Buyers Guide" to help make your choice. Have the care of choice inspected by a Certified Viper Tech as a condition of purchase. Replacing the tranny or major engine work can be very costly.
How do I find a Certified Viper Tech in my area? I live in Chester County, PA which is 30 miles west of Philadelphia. Also, is the Viper Buyer's Guide online? Thanks...I'm looking at a 1996 GTS today!
