I've got a whistling sound that I cant figure out. The first few times I heard it I thought it was police sirens from afar but then realized it was coming from my car (once I turned the stereo down). It doesn't seem to matter if it's in gear or not or if the clutch is in or not or if the radio is powered up or not. It only seems to happen when coming to a stop or just starting out (maybe that's the only time I can hear it because other sounds are drowning it out)
I've got a weird clutch problem and I am wonering if it's possibly related. I've got an RPS Alum flywheel and I've gone back to the stock replacement clutch but the clutches are wearing out super super fast (1000-2000 miles not even racing just normal driving). Does anyone else have the RPS flywheel and do you know if there is some thickness differential which must be accounted for when using this flywheel. I'm on third clutch in 5000 miles since I put this flywheel in and it's getting expensive and frustrating. It's only got 200 miles on it and it's already not acting quite right.
Any input or thoughts on the whistling and/or the clutch issues would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
