Who has had thier stripes painted on? Post pics!

I have a red 98 GTS and I am thinking about having white stripes painted on. I had white vinyl stripes put on my 94 RT/10 but they were not perfect. I love the look of the 2002 FE and I think thats what I am going to do. How much have you paid to have your stripes painted on? Post up some prices and pictures!

There should be two pages of pics (i.e., before stripes on page 1 and then with stripes on page 2). As you will learn, I went with a slightly different approach.

My stripes are painted on by the previous owner, so I can't give you a price idea. They did a fair job, but not the best in the world.

$2500, and under the clearcoat so you can't feel the stripes. I'm 100% happy with the work! One nice added benefit is that I have new clearcoat and a much better finish than factory! The paint is super smooth with no swirl marks. Now I just gotta try to keep it that way!

I had my stripes done with "chaser stripes". I think it adds a nice touch. I think I paid around $1200.

You guys have got to be kidding me. I have been quoted no less than 4-5K to have my stripes painted on here in the NY area. One shop quoted me 6K. How can someone dissassemble the car, stripe and clear coat it for 1200.00 dollars?

I had silver stripes painted on my former Gen1 for $3000 and was worth every penny. Hood, roof, front and rear fascia, and decklid were removed, painted, sanded, reassembled and then the entire car was recleared. My new car I can feel the stripe edge, I could not on my Gen1. God I miss that car!

Have you ever considered BLACK w/chaser stripes on your RED GTS? Man i've seen some pictures and it looks HOT. If my Viper was red thats what i'd have done.
I have black with Silver Metallic w/chaser stripes in VINYLE and you'd never know they were VINYLE. but you can feel the edge. One day i will have them painted on.

$1200???? Tell me where I got a garage full of cars I want to send them to have painted. If they are doing this right for $1200 I am going to quit my business and just send them the work and mark it up 100%.
