Unfortunately the weather for most of our customers has been less then ideal for driving or getting to a dyno. Our original beta car is still here but we have not had any time to do anything with it sorry. We also hope to have some figures in the near future for you.

Are they really two inches long, or is that the outer wall of a dual wall header design. Anyone cut these open to view the cross section?

I'm sure there are tubes in there, but they are very short compared to the Belangers.

There are no tubes, what you see is what you got. It does not seem to make sense. Nice comparison; were G4 oem headers the same?

The Gen4 and Gen5 manifolds are the same, nothing changed. There are tubes under the encapsulating shield, they are floating tubes that are built to expand and contract with heat so they won't crack like some of the Gen3 exhaust did. Still they are very short compared to the Belangers.

Mark:

I looked inside, there is an inner tube, but, after 2" it meets a horizontal tube/runner. Is the reason for the double wall a heat shield affect? Is the exhaust gasket on the G5 the same as the G1 and G2 ?

I could be wrong but looks like the engine is "choked" to 640hp with those factory headers. Could mean some real big gains with a proper h/e/i and tune combination as BBG post is indicating.

Any rattling (against other parts of the car) or clearance problems with these new headers?

I will be doing a back to back G5 header test in 2 weeks. We did install a set of ARH headers and high flow cats on a 2013, car runs great, we will be testing that car as well.

I will also be testing a G5 with our new ported heads and Corsa exhaust, no headers. I will post up the results.

This will be interesting to see!

Does anyone know if Belanger plans on doing an exhaust to go with their headers for the Gen V?

We used Belanger HF cats. I can't comment on the Belanger cat back, but from past experience would assume it is louder and deeper.

Lou at Belanger is the man! He walked me through everything before my purchase of the full system. My friend and I installed the complete system on my 04...no problems. Yes it is loud (in a good way), sort of like Armageddon when you start it in a parking garage…hehe. There is also drone at certain speeds. Basically the drone is noticeable in each gear at a certain speed, for example the drone in second gear is at 20mph, in third it is at 30, 4th =40, etc. If you want to scare women and small children you leave it in the drone “zone”, if not just shift out to another gear. In sixth gear at 60-ish it will also have some drone…so you just have to drive faster to make it go away.

I'd be worried bout putting these on without CATS!!! It's gonna throw a code and go into limp mode big time after a little bit of driving without the cats....

The Belanger come with California spec Cats and the test car has almost 4000 trouble free miles.

I just had the Belanger headers and high flo cats plus the Belanger cat back system installed on my ACR and it was WELL worth it. Awesome increase in performance and much louder which is what I wanted. The best part too is NO cel even without the Mopar PCM. Had it professionally installed though by a Viper tech.
