Okay...let's raise the bar...how fast have you RT guys gone with no top on??? 143 or so in mine...would like to see faster...just not sure yet

155 MPH with the top off my of RT/10, I felt like my ******** were going to be sucked out if I went any faster...00PROWLER...P.S. Gotone, good call on the 5 spokes on your car! It really dresses up the car, big improvement over the 3 spokers

I ran the Silver State Classic last year in the 130 mph class (fastest allowed for first-timers). My tech speed was 165 and I hit that easily. The car ('96 GTS) was very stable and practically begging me to go faster. They have strict rules about exceeding your tech speed and have several radar traps along the course. I may run it again in a faster class.

What makes the viper scarier to go fast in is that you can feel everything. Having full control of the car (no traction control, etc.) makes you VERY aware of how fast you are going, which makes it psychologically harder to go faster. Of course, some people like that adreneline. I tend to drive my 4 door sedan much faster than my viper. Most of the time I'm not even aware that I'm doing 100+ in it.

Alot of people have told me they are scared of the snake because it just keeps pulling (because of the gobs of torque) even at over 120mph it can mash you in your seat STOCK.
