I've noticed a lot of chatter in my valvetrain when I accelerate. I'm thinking this is due to the stock rocker arms. I'm looking for the best deal on a set of shaft mounted rocker arms if anyone knows where I can find them. I could be diagnosing the noise wrong, but it gives me a good excuse to add the rockers. :D Also, do I need longer pushrods if I go with the 1.7 ratio arms?

with 1.7 u may have to change push rods most people do, they measure to see before you put the rockers on, the push rods are $120 at roe racing and if you want the best rocker arms i would get jesel j2k rockers from roe as well, they are the best from what i hear (better then t&d) and with tax and shipping they come to just under $1500 i just bought some and couldent be happier. Besides if there is any problem Sean Roe looks out for his customers

hope this helps

I figure the Jessel rockers are the best, but I don't need the top of the line. I just want something with good quality and a low price. I figure I'll go with the T&D/Mopar based on what I've been reading. I just need to know where to get them at the absolute lowest price.

We have had good luck with all of the above mentioned rocker arms. If you install them correctly you should have no problems. I do have a set of Mopar T&D's at a close out price of $980.00. You wont find these for a better price.

96 RT/10 (MIKE) I believe still has a brand new set of Mopar 1.7's for $850. As far as pushrods, the majority, but there are exceptions, use the 7.70's. Look on the Alley under classifieds to find the rockers for sale.

I don't see why the stock rockers would cause this noise. Do you think it might be a little pre-ignition knock instead?

You would likely get the knock when you accelerate if that's what it was.
