OMG Tommy,

I hope you are not looking for a Hennessey car

Did you know Hennessey is banned from this sight? there are many cases of customers paying for parts or services and NEVER getting anything. Even buying a car already done you do not know what you are getting. There have been cases of taking apart a venom 1000 and finding the motor stock. There were some pictures of a install, I can't find them now but I wish I could..

No. Not worth the price to get comparable options to my car. Aero, and yellow/Blk stripes.

Drove the M5 today, just too bland.

Sending out my deposit tomorrow for an SRT, sight unseen :)

Heck, even the wife is encouraging me.

The M5 doesn't look like a $100,000 car :rolaugh:

And there are some nice 1000+ hp builds on this sight from members and other tuning firms that would make a Hennessey look tame by comparison

1-Build your own should've been available by now.
2-No track pack wheels on the launch edition would be a shame, propably!

He Garrett,

No I am not buying one just yet. Stil looking at my options for more Hp out of my car or get one with the set up already. Didnt realize the Hennessey thing. Maybe stay away from those then?

You bet your *** I am getting one. :D
But I still didn't make my final options call! for those who've seen the car in real, any advises?

I prefer the base hood over the GTS hood... I would also stay away from the launch edition (unless you really NEED to have a blue / white car) for a couple reasons. It won't have the carbon fiber, it will be matte black since the CF isn't ready yet. I also prefer the base car since it has the body colored rear section. Looks closer to the gen II GTS, which I think looks much better. As much as I like stripes, I also prefer the solid body colors since it will have the widows peak body colored.

If I was going to buy one, I'd go with the solid yellow base car, base hood and track pack. I'd upgrade from the cloth seats to the leather and it would come out to ~$100k.

As for the OP's question, I'd like to buy one, but it would mean having to sell my gen II GTS. I'd rather keep my Gen II and add a Gen IV in the near future or a Gen IV ACR. I've never purchased a brand new car as I like to have someone else take the depreciation. Anyone that buys one, please take great care of it... as I'll be looking to buy it from you down the road ;-)

All you need to do is google Hennessey. It seems if you are local to Texas and somewhat close to his shop, you were fine, but if you are out of state you are gambling your money. I am shocked he is still in business. From what I gather, he was on the verge of going to jail for theft by deception.

Would love to buy one, but going to have to wait til i see it in person. Still trying to get over the fender gaps. Cant afford it right now anyway. Will buy a used one with hardly any miles when the hoopla dies down.

I like your taste in color and options, but I think the money is a little light....you're already at 106,890 and you still have the gas guzzler and many states also have sales tax. I have heard the number 3,700 for the guzzler, and unless your local dealer has an allocation, there could be a delivery charge, too. Add some black stripes to that Race Yellow SRT and you're on the way to a 115-120K Viper.

I'm out. Gonna keep driving my GTS for now. At the price range of a new GTS I can pick up one of my very favorite cars for less money. A 550 or 575M. Love those front engine Ferrari . GTS Bruce

Thank you for your input. I agree on your thoughts basically. And I also think 100 grands is not going to happen :)

Bill, hope you are wrong, as I have heard a smaller number for gas guzzler. We forget that it had gone down quite a bit with the Gen IV.

I really hope it's not true, too! I picked it up on this forum from Lawrenzo http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/656668-Pricing-and-Options-announced-today?p=3111562#post3111562 I tried to check for a current EPA chart and was unable to confirm. I think the 19MPG estimate for highway miles won't be far off with the 3:55 rear gears...
