HEY - lets not mention the W - word. I hate WINTER! Sure is fun driving like you stole it - especially with the nice cool air! Only downside is the tires having less bite!

I'm actually happy to say that I will have no winter projects for the Viper this year. Last winter, my winter project was changing the head gaskets and piston rings. Quite a fun job to do ........... once in a lifetime!

We're gonna have to hook up sometime. I'd love to see how your project progresses as I am diligently looking into SC'ing my snake too. Damn, I've only had it for a month and I'm wanting to mod, mod mod!

jdoc - call anytime. we are minutes away from each other. lets go for a drive before i start tearing things apart! IS YOUR NAME REALLY JEFFREY LEEHO?!!

jdell - i am going with my stock crank for now. i bought the SVS-built system from Joe Barrett who is now going turbo. i have found out he dyno'd at 733 with the setup, although his intake is not stock like mine. i believe he was running a stock crank with those numbers, and if i dyno at app 700(?), i should be ok. what do you guys think?

Yup, that's my name. As for driving, I'd love to take a cruise before the weather gets crummy. The car should be ready to go next week. Takin it to Roanoke for some work. I'll keep in touch, I've got your #. My wife may not like me getting together with another viper *****! ;)

Out here in New Mexico, we don't do "winter projects."
We're too busy driving our VIPERS all winter long !

Which pistons are you running in that with the s/c? I ask only because I want to do something similar to my 2001, but am concerned I won't get as much bang for the buck unless I also change out pistons for forged.

My understanding is that my 97 car came with forged pistons instead of the hypers, and a piston change is not necessary. someone please inform me right away if this is not correct.

You are correct, '97's have forged pistons.

Sorry, Big...didn't mean to give you a heart attack...I didn't realize you had a '97. I think that is the only thing I regret about my 2001....but I suppose I can always have the pistons changed out.

no problem cagleman. i thought i had done my homework on that one, but you never know. the forged pistons, lumpier cam, dumber computer, were some of the reasons i wanted a 97.

if i remember right, you have ABS, and that is one thing i would like to have on my car. they all have their little pros and cons.
