Look here and you can easily see the airport, look directly north and the dragstrip is at the top of the pic and the strip runs west to east.

I was just watching the weather and they are predicting rain for Sat. That ***** I'm not sure if I want to deal with rain. Slicks and skinnies are on , oil changed and ready to go. I guess I'll just wait and see.

Are you coming in Saturday or Friday night? Gainesville Regional Airport is actually pretty close to the track, about 10 Mins by car/. Maybe you could land at the track, there's a big grass field or the 1/4 mile track!!!

Is this only open to VCA members? I'd like to go but I didn't renew my membership this year? Where is everyone meeting at? What kind of event is this? Trophies? Heads up racing? Money? Women, beer?

Tony if you do a touch and go.... at staging area thru traps...isn't that machine of yours a turbo prop and we could video it, we would have the first 8.5 turbo 1/4 mile pass.

Saturday morning 9:00 - 9:30 am. I will do a few laps around the strip. With the retractable gear and gear doors my airplane is not fond of grass strips. Rain looks 50/50.
