Who is leasing their new car?? Need Help my car is in.

My dealer won't title my car to the least company I have contracted? Some BS about chrysler not permitting anyone but owners name on title. Now some of you have had to lease your cars from someone other than the dealer. How did you work it?? I don't plan on paying tax twice on this deal!!!!

I think they are trying to screw me out of the car.

Absolutely untrue! Call Viper HQ immediately. This "dictate" was clearly directed to keep the SRT-10's away from brokers and WITH the original certificate holders, and in no way was meant to be interpreted as meaning you had to finance/purchase versus lease!!!!!

both of my SRTs were sold to my lease company with my name on the title also......then when I plate the cars, my name is dropped off the title and there is no sales tax period....but I also own the lease co.

You need a permit from the leasing bank to let you register the car under your name. The leasing banks name goes on the title.

Re: Well this saga continues, Dealer won\'t release car.

Worked this out with Dodge, now dealer refuses to sell car to my lease companty even after assurances from VCA and Dodge it is OK. This Western Mi dealer is thought to be a legit player. Details to follow as soon as my lawyer gets in tomorrow.
