My shop is nearing completion and I want to install a lift. I know there were several posts on lifts and even a group buy earlier. I just wasn't ready for it yet, otherwise I would have gotten in on it. While following the threads, I noticed most were opting for the 4-post lifts but for my application, a 2-post lift will fit the bill. Only issue is clearance for a Viper. I'm looking at the SL 10,000 BP from Complete Hydraulic which claims to have a screw pad height of only 4 inches. Anyone using this lift without clearance issues under the snake?

The only way I can clear on a BenPack or Rotary is to put down 2X10s and drive onto them, Otherwise I drive in between the posts and jack up from the rear on the frame rails getting the rear wheels off the ground then use the lift.

Mine is a Champion like many shops have. I leave a few 2x10's to drive the front on and then a quick lift in the rear with the floor jack. It is necesary with my lift, but the car being higher also gives me more room and I don't have to get all the way on the floor to see the lift points. Challenger was supposed to be doing something new awhile back for ground clearance. Another issue is will the lift arms hit the side sills without raising the lift point adjusters. With my car up, I can leave the adjusters up instead of screwing them up after the arms swing under. For serious auto work IMO a two post is the way to go.....with a few screw jacks and tranny jack.

Thanks all. They wouldn't let me have the discount. A few days too late. Oh well. As for clearance, the nice lady I talked to said the owner is able to slip the pads under is Lambo without any probs. I've never owned a Lamborghini but have to assume they sit as low or lower than a Viper.
