Hi,

I'm looking to buy a Corsa Exhaust for my 1997 GTS. The best pricing I have found for this item is at carstuff.com. It is in stock, they want $1593 and shipping is free.

Anyone here bought from them? Any feedback? I did a search but did not find anything on them. I have never bought from them before.

If you know somewhere where it is cheaper, or if you have one you want to sell, please let me know.

Before many here start recommending a certain vendor on this site....

Just my personal preference, but for me, I like the option of being able to call a supplier on a Monday and get a friendly response. Like many, I need customer service that is consistent on everyday of the week.

Thanks and your input as always is greatly appreciated.

I bet if you called JonB at Partsrack with that price he'd try to beat it...after all it's Thursday so he's in a good mood.

Despite the warning I gotta agree...JonB. I've been having some difficulties with an order (not his fault) but he's been great throughout (even on Monday). He probably thinks I'm pissed about it but he and the supplier have been great with the customer service and e-mail responses. At this point, I'll definately keep ordering from him.

Now quit driving around with my windows and send them to me Jon :D .

Give him another try. The first time I called him he was a bit short with me but he explained that he was on the other line long distance and asked me to call him back. I called back about ten minutes later and he spent quite a bit of time answering some questions and making sure the stuff I wanted to order was correct. As I explained above, I had some shipping problems, not his fault, and through several e-mails which were very quickly responded to, the problem was worked out. I've only ordered once so far and am waiting for the products, but my experience with him is that he has bent over backwards to help me. If you don't want to call on the phone, send him an e-mail.

Performance Center (.com) will beat any price and they are authorized to sell Corsas (I called Corsa to verify). I did a search on the Internet and I found it for a good price (cannot remember who) and then went to Performance Center, who beat it by around $50 leaving the final delivered price just over $1100 for the SRT-10 Corsa system.

Anyone know where to get a Random tech exhaust besides JonB? I actually called Random tech and the sales guy told me to call JonB, shouldn't random have a few distributors?

Why not just it order it from Jon? He's got a good price on it and helped designed the system.

What is this facsination with Partsrack? Don't get me wrong, Jon is a great guy and he is an invaluable asset to the Viper community and I have bought things from him before, BUT there are other vendors and suppliers around and yes, some items are cheaper than Partsrack believe it or not. I always call about 4 or 5 different vendors before I make a decision.
Example.....last year, I needed rear skins. Called Partsrack, Tirerack, Woodhouse and Snake Oyl. Snake Oyl had them all beat by $30 per tire! Pays to check around.

you make it sound like this is a bad thing!

The reality is that if you are buying something complicated enough to need support you A) need to talk to the manufacturer and not the middle-man-reseller, and b) you need to do your research in advance.

Example: The AEM for the viper can be had for ~2300. call up any dealer who sells import parts and you can get them to sell it to you for the same 10-15pts markup as they do the honda stuff. But some Viper dealers want you to believe that this is a 'special' part and that their 'buy' price on it is closer to 3k. Help me understand why this is the case?

Example2: Worse, help me understand why the 6250 I can pay for a PAXTON viper kit is going to break sooner than the 9k kit from a 'viper specialist'? Same frikkin' kit! And if the person installing has trouble, you think that the guy on the other line will say anything other than 'call Paxton'? there are a _few_ resellers who know the products they sell inside and out... but they are few and far between.

my .02... and I hate being taken advantage of just b/c I own a viper.
