May 17,18,19,20'th is the Ocean City MD Cruise weekend. I have attended this event for as long as I can remember. There are approximately 4000-5000 cars cruising up and down Ocean Highway from morning till late late evening. There are Pro-Mods, Muscle cars, exotics... Everything.

Who would be interested in getting together at some point during the weekend? We could just pick a parking lot and all hang, or cruise as a group and show some VIPER POWER! There are a few of us that often get together anyway, Bonkers, Nick, Rick, Dom, and myself.

Here is the information: http://www.specialeventpro.com/cruisin.php

Okay, who's interested????

I've always wanted to go to this, but I've never been able to get off work, etc. Put me down as a maybe and I'll see what I can do!

I'd say the most likely scenario is that I could do the 17th and 18th, and I'd have to leave in the afternoon on the 19th. I have work that night. ;)

At 94'th street is a shopping center with a store called "Rose's" department store. The parking lot is huge and largely unused. Most of the other parking lots are extremely crowded. Saturday and Saturday night are the big times to be there. How 'bout Saturday around 4:00 pm at Roses Parking lot? we could meet there, cruise for a while, then come back and hang out and watch all the cars.

I know many of you have been to Ocean city as well, and I am open to other suggestions.

Good times. I didnt make it out untill late each night(like 10 till 2) but got to hang out with a few other Viper owners. We had a good time talking about our recent modifications and Anthony took the cake with his custom TT setup on his Gen1. I filled everyone in on what they missed at the Gen5 Unvailing Party with some pics i had on my tablet. A few enthusiests stopped by unpon seeing the snakes and thoroughly enjoyed seeing them and talking to us as did we enjoy their company.

I took some SICK pics of Red/White/&Blue Vipers together as i make it a point to do every year. Stay tuned...

After seeing some videos of what went on that weekend, I'm half glad I couldn't make it. Huge crowds of drunk people + people in cars doing idiotic things to show off + cops = bad news. Constant burnouts on coastal highway in traffic with lots of bystanders around. Stupid. Am I allowed to post a video of that?

Wow! That is what you think it was, and you were not there?

I was there. Huge crowds, thousands of cruisers, and only one bad accident and it wasn't from one of the participants. The accident was with a scooter and a Cadillac spectator. Cops? you bet and they did a great job of keeping everyone responsible. Burnouts? absolutely, every event like this ends up having burnout contests. These were not allowed but they did happen and fines were HUGE. I have been to this event for as long as I can remember (that's a long time) and both this event and the one in the fall keep getting bigger and bigger. I will always have this event on my calendar, great time for the whole family.

Well that's encouraging. The only videos of Cruise In weekend that I see are from a GM forum, and they are full of people doing things I would consider dumb. Glad that doesn't represent the event as a whole.

Sweet....that looks a lot better. In that case, I'm making it a priority to go down next year. Thanks Steve.

FYI - there is another Cruise scheduled for October 4-5-6-7th.
The Endless Summer cruise isn't as "big" as the Cruisin OC
Cruise, but it can still see 3000+ cars. I like the Fall Cruise
better because there tends to be more car people there (as
opposed to the trophy hunters/trailer queens.) Trouble of
course is the weather historically tends to be a bit more
moody that time of year.

Now (good or bad) this is what a typical trip down Ocean
Highway is like after dark:
(not my video)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYHwfbVwaU4

Its a nice slow pace and you'll see just about every kind
of car your heart desires.
