Who is going to the Norwalk drag racing event in September?

A mod 2 shoot-out. Hopefully this will be the place one of us put the car into the 9's.

Sounds like alot of supercharged cars so should be a awesome shoot-out!

Maybe enough has not been said about the party on Saturday after the races. For those who didn't attend last year, the party is in a viper pit that compares well against any in the country. Last year most of the steaks were about 2 pounders. This year it is lobster and steak. If Calvin didn't sell his GTS he should have the SRT10, SRT-4, GTS and the RT10 in his pit plu 5 or 6 vintage cars, mostly Mopar vehicles.

Do you have a class figured out yet for 9 second Vipers? On the Norwalk and Chryslers at Norwalk websites it seems like Vipers are only a small fraction of the Mopars that will be present. I may bring my 65 HEMI Belvedere Superstocker that is almost finished instead.

Tom you are correct, the Vipers are just the frosting on the cake at Norwalk!!!
Check out the Chrysler Classic site chryslerclassic.com. They host 600 Mopar classics and several race classes. It's the home of the original Max Wedge Shoot Out and the Hemi Super Stock Shoot Out, both run on an index system. This is as close to Heads Up racing as you get. Tom the Hemi SS is perfect for that class.

As for Super Street the rules say V8, but I would contact Jeff Johnson to clarify. I don't see why a Viper couldn't compete?

The Viper portion of this event is a club function offered to the OHIO VCA by Jeff Johnson who promotes the Chrysler Classic series of events. That's why so many of our Viper Events are in conjunction with Chrysler Classic.

Unfortunately, Jeff has not updated the web site to include the Viper Rules or the current purse.
