Its funny you mention that. Yesterday I was picking up the personalized plates for my Z06 and the lady helping me knew it was for a Corvette. She told me her cousin or nephew had one and was selling it to buy a Viper. Black with silver stripes. hahahaa

As is the case with most colors (other than red), it depends on the year your actually focusing your attention on. In other words, if you're looking for '99 - '00's, you're going to think that there's a ton of black being sold. If you're looking at '98's, silver will be the color, etc. '96 - '97 ... well we all know it would be Blue.

Why fight it? I know some people say black is hard to keep clean, but if you are not going to drive the car everyday, it's not going to matter. Black is mean as hell.

I found at least one duplicate out there. Looks like someone posted a personal ad, then a dealer came right behind them and posted it again (for a couple thousand more of course).

I have a pending deal on mine, but if it falls through, you can pick it up for a song. Only has 10K miles, has never been wrecked, has two years left on the warrantee and comes with a recent ViperTech inspection from Northwest Dodge.

Someone looking for a track car may want a brighter color to get the attention of those he is co oming up on. Time and again I've had drivers tell me that the color scheme of my GTS (red/white stripes) made it much more visable in their rear views than other pallettes. I'll bet the yellow/black cars are equally dramatic.

Black is hot here in Texas and shows dust and scratches easily. When it's perfect it's outstanding but it also shows any imperfections quite clearly.

I'm one of those guys that get a little perturbed about the car getting dirty after 5 minutes of a detailed cleaning job. I should have looked for the white 96 R/T. I guess I will have to suffer

Black looks killer when it is clean, but the simple fact is you cant keep a black car clean. They show scratches and swirl marks worse than most colors and usually drive the owners nuts. So they get ********** and sell them and tell everyone that they will never own a black car again!!!!!
