I watched a year in review for GT and saw that only once Comp Coupe was competitive. I would expect CC to rule all of those cars but the M3 and Audi were faster...why?

Driver has a lot to do with it.
Obviously the CC with the late PMUM was faster since Paul won the race at laguna.
$ also has a lot to do with it.
The Audi,BMW,etc are factory cars and I bet you that they "cost" at least 2 or 3 times the CC.

Don't forget that SWC handicaps cars with weight, air restrictors, and tire sizes too. I believe the CC's are required to run heavier and have smaller tires.

PMUM started 23rd and finished 3rd at Road America and was closing fast on 2nd before the Corvette crashed taking out both McCanns and Woodhouse and forcing the race to finish the last few laps under yellow.

RIP PMUM. What could have been...

I went to Laguna Seca and saw PMUM come in first place, beating the big-budget factory teams. It was a timeless moment. Rock on, PMUM.

I was shocked watching the Audis take off in the Laguna race they took several car lenghts off the start and it took PMUM forever to make up the distance. I'm sure the right driver makes them a sobering force on track.
