Why does the SRT 10 gets no love around the RT 10/GTS crowd.

Okay, what Corvette was faster, quicker or whatever in 2003? 2004? 2005?

Oh I see, because in 2006 Corvette came to the party that disavows the previous years where the SRT was the undisputed (by most) King of the Hill.

So that cannot be the reason as the lack of "love" was present from the beginning of the SRT. And Vipah, you have been one of the most prominent members of the "Bash the SRT" crowd.
Hey don't forget me!!! LOL

vipah, quit whining and enjoy your car. The statement above about SRT laughing at bashing comments is so true. The performance is simply unphugginreal. Amazing. I love it and I LOVE MY GENII and am partial to it. ;)

Keep it up Vipah and perhaps if you supported Dodge rather than bash it, things might actually get better. After all , critisizing is the worst thing you can do to someone if you want change.. Support is the best way..... ;) See, isn't that easy ? Thanks!

You guys are very sensitive. I guess you are just really in touch with your feminine side. Who is bashing? Just pointing out the facts. Just because you are in denial isn't my problem.

I can't believe this idiot is still here. Beat it.

Support is good, but DC is a multinational corporation, not a puppy... it needs to be criticized every now and then, especially if it's deserved. That said, there's no point just ******** and whining about every little thing and attacking people personally that don't agree with you. I give it as good as I take it, but there's a fine line between being a smart@$$ and being vile and slanderous.

Yea, I kind of like Gripah. Like "Get a Gripah Vipah.

But Diapah does come closer to what he spews, or at least what he needs to prevent soiling his office.

I can't disagree with some level of criticism directed at a company to improve the future. But in this case all the criticism is directed at the owners and not the company. Last I knew this was an owners web site and not a DC website. Those owners that liked the product enough to buy it. Gee, don't you think an owner group is going to be prejudiced for a product they own.

The thing this idiot cannot get through his 6 inch thick skull is that we are here to enjoy and expand our ownership experience, not to be criticized for our choices.

Well said, and as you say there is a huge difference between constructive criticism meant to influence DC and a constant attack upon the Gen 3 owners that sounds like....."Your car is ugly and slower than the new Corvette, Oh, you don't agree with me? Then you're an idiot" Which is exactly what a bunch of this repetitive junk sounds like.

Re: Why does the SRT 10 get no love around the RT 10/GTS crowd?

I must say that my intent for this thread was not to cause a war and I'm a little confused at how "fellow" Viper owners can start flame wars over, essentially, the looks of a car. Actually, in hindsight I can see why and whom would be more concerned over the look of a car but I won't say the "p" word :) It's a little joke to ease tension. Take it easy ;)

A Viper is a Viper. People have opinions about the styling and I think in another thread, we've seen that that's been a deciding factor as to why some people choose their cars; or a major consideration at least.

As stated, I don't have a Viper but I do come from a Dodge Stealth background where there are only two distinct generations to choose from. Mine is the Gen I and I liked the look of the first generation over the second. My Gen I is slower and is a little less refined because the Gen II car has had improvements and new options but it is also a little more "mod" friendly. Sound familiar?

Anyway, with the Stealth crowd there was some contention to styling and which one looked better but there was mutual respect. I could tell you why Gen I people didn't like Gen II cars but they never got into flame wars or ever said that "your car is ugly".

Constructive criticism is a good thing. So, if you said, "your car is ugly" or the Gen I/Gen II cars appeal to you more than the Gen IIIs, tell us why. You are more then likely going to be a repeat buyer (from what I've seen here so far) so tell us exactly how DC went wrong with Gen IIIs. I don't think you can argue how fit and finish or quality or stock performance are worse. Tell us and those from DC who read this forum why you don't like the styling and how it can be made better. I tried to do that when I started this thread and tried to do it constructively. I'd like to see this thread continue this way.

I am really interested in opinions so please feel free to give us yours.

SNIPAH ain't good enough for coinage? How about.....

Come on Least, I'm sure you can do better than that.

The same reason that the Corvette gets no love around here. Personally I love all of them Gen I, II and III as well as vettes and cobras etc etc, but I am a car guy. If it is fast I like it. I don't think alot of the bashers are car guys, just Viper freaks. Not that there really is anything wrong with that, I guess thats why they make salt and pepper.
