Re: Why does the SRT 10 get no love around the RT 10/GTS crowd?
I must say that my intent for this thread was not to cause a war and I'm a little confused at how "fellow" Viper owners can start flame wars over, essentially, the looks of a car. Actually, in hindsight I can see why and whom would be more concerned over the look of a car but I won't say the "p" word
It's a little joke to ease tension. Take it easy
A Viper is a Viper. People have opinions about the styling and I think in another thread, we've seen that that's been a deciding factor as to why some people choose their cars; or a major consideration at least.
As stated, I don't have a Viper but I do come from a Dodge Stealth background where there are only two distinct generations to choose from. Mine is the Gen I and I liked the look of the first generation over the second. My Gen I is slower and is a little less refined because the Gen II car has had improvements and new options but it is also a little more "mod" friendly. Sound familiar?
Anyway, with the Stealth crowd there was some contention to styling and which one looked better but there was mutual respect. I could tell you why Gen I people didn't like Gen II cars but they never got into flame wars or ever said that "your car is ugly".
Constructive criticism is a good thing. So, if you said, "your car is ugly" or the Gen I/Gen II cars appeal to you more than the Gen IIIs, tell us why. You are more then likely going to be a repeat buyer (from what I've seen here so far) so tell us exactly how DC went wrong with Gen IIIs. I don't think you can argue how fit and finish or quality or stock performance are worse. Tell us and those from DC who read this forum why you don't like the styling and how it can be made better. I tried to do that when I started this thread and tried to do it constructively. I'd like to see this thread continue this way.
I am really interested in opinions so please feel free to give us yours.
