Why is Dodge advertising the \'03 Viper SRT-10?

Why would Dodge advertise the '03 SRT-10? All the 2003's are sold and probably most of the 2004's. Is Dodge just using the Viper to promote the whole company?

Hello;

Funny picture, disappointing ad image for the Viper in my humble opinion. I, for one, am looking forward to my 03', and it's new levels of performance regardless of less aggressive styling (I agree).

The Vipers race hisstoy should be enough, as well as the styling (subjective) and improved performance (as predicted) to sell the beast; don't you think?

I never felt I needed a Viper for image; I just wanted to enjoy driving it and looking in amazement at it. It is, old styling or new gen III, an incredible machine. Half the time I drive my Viper, I wish it was CAMOUFLAGED (sp?)because I just want to DRIVE without being hassled by ricer's or followed by a policeman waiting for me to gun it. I DO enjoy the great things people say when the Viper is parked, or when I go to the Classic Car night all shined up and ready to show it off a little bit and admire other fine American machines.

Viper is always going to be an incredible car to look at no matter what the year; it just won't be as bodacious as the original(I HAD TO HAVE a Viper after I saw the first concept drawings in C/D 12 years ago!)

What ad image do the rest of you think is the best for promoting the Viper?

Anyway, I agree; the old man's got got the ride of his life any way you look at it!

There was a similar ad for a tobacco company I believe. It showed an old guy with a hot bride and he had this big grin on his face. The tag line was..

SHE MARRIED ME FOR MY MONEY...
SO WHAT!

It was great and honest!

This is what the ad says to me:

"People who buy Vipers are old farts who can't get it up."

Sorry, but that ad really turns me off.

I don't know where it was taken but it looks like Florida or southern California to me. Either would be fitting as that is where most of the guys that age are.

Great picture of the bodiless Viper! Your right, maybe thats what I need to drive in Viper "stealth" mode.

Just think of the weight savings performance advantage! I am still hoping that one of you entrepreneurial types will come up with some sort of a "cloaking device" for all of us. The local cops tell me my V-1 is an indication of "intent to speed", so it is temporarily retired.

Ah, what the heck, I think my new plate just might have to say "eat rice". **** the torpedoes, I don't need no stinkin' stealth mode anymore! Dean, I think you've cured me!

Well, NOBODY got it.
What that ad says is that even if you're young and beautiful, you can get a nice guy if you drive the right car.
GUYS REALLY DIG CARS. Don't feel sorry for her, be glad she got a certificate for the SRT/10 so she could attract guys!!!!!
Or, maybe I'm just jealous that he gets to drive the car instead of me.

You guys STILL don't have it right! Take another LOOK at the exact EXPRESSION on his face! That's "bitterness" if I ever saw it!!! He's marrying the "bride"....... so he's having to GIVE UP the Viper in the background.

Trust me!...... I have personal experience about this in the past! I'll bet some OTHERS do too!!!!!
