Just an FYI about your comment. Though Detroit has had horrible times with the auto industry, they have not been hurting when it comes to the film industry. The tax incentives that Michigan was offering movie producers has dried up all film production in Hollywood. The film commission may be crying at this point because the states incentive plan, which was basically further bankrupting the state and has ended. Essentially a boom and bust type scenario. States like New Mexico and Louisiana and Michigan have been throwing cash at producers to draw them in. Louisiana is currently the flavor of choice and has yet again drawn all the film production away from Hollywood.
So Cali got a 3.5 million dollar crumb in the commercial world. Like most news, it's not news, but just political manipulation.
