Do I need to run a dual wideband on my 99 GTS or can I go with a single? Does it make more sense to run dual so I can monitor both sides and is it necessary when running nitrous?

Dual - better

Necessary - no

Can you go with single - yes

make more sense to run dual - yes

how many people run duals - probably not many at all

how many people run widebands - probably not many at all

I run a single in the passebger side.

Innovate LM1 and there is also Techedge. Just be sure to get one with logging capability.

techedge mounts in the A/C vent... www.wbo2.com . I like it, but it is the only one i've used. i've seen the innovate and it looks pretty cool too.

wbo2 runs like 500 or 550. i think there are some other WB's that run a little less...

definitely get data-logging.

jdawg, whee'd ya mount it in the car ? ? ?

Phil, I did not mount mine, but take it in and out as needed. It is bulkier than the TechEdge and the unit itself is really not made to mount, but they do have a digital display that can be mounted and is a nice piece. Don't know if that makes sense, but if you are looking for something to mount in the car and leave I would go with the TechEdge for that reason. I think it is pretty user friendly, but have not used one. The Innovate is simple to use and install. Both will datalog.

Innovate has rounded out their package. The LM1 is their core unit. This unit is portable or can be permenantly installed It logs the air fuel or can display the same. You will find that a gauge is very difficult to track especially on a fast car. It is also difficult to interpret because of the way the a/f spikes. Their latest software does a very nice job of displaying the log of the air fuel. You will need their auxilliary input box to log rpm's. Without the ability to log both rpm's and a/f simultaneously you loose a valuable tool.

They just brought out the XD1 gauge. I mounted mine in place of the voltmeter. The gauge is programable and has a built-in record button. It will also give you a min/max that is defined by multiple filters. A second function is an alarm that is also defined by programable filters.

The auxilliary box has room for (6) 0-5 volt inputs. On my car we log a/f, rpm, fuel pressure and vacuum. In summary the only visible part of the system is the gauge, from the gauge you actuate the record function. It can then be downloaded thru a serial cable. The serial cable drops down from behind the gauge.
