Wife passes on 2013 Viper GTS

So I place a deposit with woodhouse couple weeks ago thinking that I could
talk the wife into selling her 2009 Audi R8 and replacing it with 2013 Viper GTS.

Well for 2 weeks of telling her how great the leather and all the
interior upgrades are.....just didn't work. She isn't going for it.

Then she says if you want one so bad ...sell you 2012 Audi R8 Spider
(that heffner just put twin turbos on at a hefty price)!!!!That
would be a financial idiot move since car only has 2000 miles on it.

Bottom line cancelled order. You think after being married to the woman 45
years I should have figured her better?

All she really remembers about the 96 GTS (with 200 shot of nitrous).......didn't help
convince her this was the right move!

just right for me .

Your mistake was ever putting a wife in an R8. That's what they make Audi TTs and Mercedes SLKs for.

The govt is printing plenty of money but I feel I'm not getting my share or
at least enough to buy all the cars I want!

My insurance company (usaa) numbers your vehicles...I'm on number 82 now.
this total over my time with thyem

IMHO you asked for her opinion before she experienced the new Viper, or for that matter before any of us experienced the new Viper!

My wife who is brillant, can not "imagine" things. Cartoons and comics and a lot of graphics can not be translated by her mind into "meaning."She can't look at a blue print and "see" in her mind the completed product. She can't translate into images and experiences word descriptions. She has to see and touch and experience before she understands. She is somewhat of a literalist.

For some reason she doesn't have this problem with the new Viper. Maybe because she's never experienced the old Viper? She's a go, but I'm taking it one step at a time. First the finances, then the see it, feel it and touch it. Then beg from the local Viper club a ride for her in the first GenV that appears. That way she's with me every step of the way.

Actually the issue seems to be over garage space. Any chance of expanding the current garage? Or garaging one of your other cars elsewhere. Think out side the box, or garage as it maybe.

I personally think once she sees it,sits in it drives it. she will
come around. She's not timid has
owned a Callway vette many years ago, etc
Her speed limit is 150 if I go over that she gets unmanagable. She
also refused to be my navigator for the Silverstate run but then a few other guys
I know have passed on that also!

Now I will admit she is NOT the fanatic that Marvs wife is!

Actually wanted to have heffner TT her R8. she said no way...you can mod your cars
all you want just leave mine alone. Great excuse for me... I bought a 2012 R8 Spider and
Heffner TT it!

A solution.. however I'm a top down guy..she's not..plus not sure I would trade my TT R8 for
