Will the new Viper have the honor of being the pace car for the Indy 500 in 2003?

Anybody know? I saw a lot of Dodge support vehicles last weekend at the US Grand Prix and usually those vehicles are from the same maker as the pace car.

The 50th Anniversary 2003 'Vette was the Indy Pace Car THIS year.

The pace car is usually announced in early October... stay tuned.
