Will the newer B&B X-pipe rear section work with the earlier non-X catback?

Will the rear X section fit the front portion of their earlier catback system or would you have to buy a whole new catback to get the X? I know several people wondered about this when the X version first came out, but I've never heard whether anyone has tried it or asked B&B about it.

For the archives and future searchers, I called B&B and the X-pipe rear section will NOT work with their earlier catback system.
