I want to install the 3M clear Bra on my VCA Viper? If you know of someone that will install it at VOI please let me know.

Thanks

I disagree. The lines are hardly noticeable and really save the hood and nose. I would also put it on the side sills and make sure to wrap it in the painted portion of the front of the side sills which are part of the fender. I will be happy to show you mine at VOI8 and render an opinion on where to put it.

I have seen very nice clear bras, and a couple that looked like they were installed by someone who had just installed his first one. Hence, the final result depends greatly on the quality of the installer. I would highly recommend getting a referral from someone (ideally, more than one person) who has had a quality install. Good Luck!!

Speaking about the side sills and wheelwells, it comforts me to know that somewhere underneath that greasy, dirty, tar covered Clearbra lurks a painted surface that hasn't got one ding.

Speaking about the front end, the same rocks and sand that are taking little pieces of glass off my windshield aren't doing the same to the paint.

Too bad someone doesn't call Clearbra and have them come down to the party. Bet they could do a lot of cars. Maybe I'll call them to see if they are interested.

I had the 3M clear coat applied to the front facia, part of the hood and the side mirrors. Overall, it looks very good. You can see a slight line on the hood but it really is quite acceptable in terms of appearence. Defratus Collision in Irving, Texas did the work for me. In fact, my car is there right now. I would suggest that you drive over to Defratus while you are at VOI. I suspect that my car will still be there. See for yourself what itlooks like.

Kenric,

I wish to join you on this one - maybe we get someone to come out to VOI and apply this on the first day.

Ninja, how far is Irving from VOI ??

I zipped off an e-mail to the guy in Utah that does the airplane blade clearbra, which isn't 3M. If he is interested in coming down he has told me about a year ago that it takes about 6 cars to make it profitable. I have no idea if the VOI folks in charge would even let him on the property. Would need an enclosed garage or something like that to keep the dirt off the car to do the work.

It's probably better to have someone locally install the 3M material. It's about 50% as thick as the airplane blade stuff, but much better than nothing. Since it is thinner, it is more "invisible". Maybe a local Dallas Viper owner could set something up with a local dealer, and make it a party.
