Re: Windows not working! ...........who\'s fixed it?

This sounds like a door harness problem, that affects windows, door popper solenoids, speakers, etc. The wires typically break right at the wire loom rubber boot, between the body and the door. It makes a really tight bend here, and standard automotive wire doesn't hold up to the constant flexing. I did a write up on it, with pictures a few months back, but the new search engine is not letting me even call up all my posts, like the old search engine did, which *****, cause it was a detailed, step by step write up.
The gist of it is, you pull the boot off the door, and off the body. Tug on the wires, the broken ones will come out of the boot. Solder extensions on the wires, (make sure you are matching the proper colors and gauge of wire) preferably with some really flexible wire, cover with heat shrink. Your extensions will run through the boot, and your splices can tuck back into the body and door. Some people put a whole new door harness on, but the quality might be as bad as the original, so I don't know about that fix. High flex wire seems appropriate here, such as Igus, among others. (Thanks, Jay!)
