Windshield Adhesive

Well it's not exactly the windshield. It's the brackets that hold the front of the hard/soft top in place. The adhesive underneath the brackets has dried and cracked, so the brackets are completely loose on both sides.

If I chip out the old adhesive, what should I replace it with? Or should I just leave the old adhesive and put a thin layer of Superglue over it?

If you want to replace it with the correct adhesive, PLIOGRIP is what you want.
