Had my mounts installed, engine & trans. Can you describe the change in feeling after your install? The best way I can put it is like when I went from my RT/10 to the SRT I felt a smoothness from the RT/10, now the SRT feels like the RT/10, or even a little more growl to it. Like 2K rpm in 4th gear, I push the clutch in and it's smooth & quiet, let clutch out and it's a growly sort of vibration. In 5th & 6th gear cruising the hwy, pretty smooth, but especially like accelerating in 1st gear from a stop, feels like my old Buell motorcycle at first, pretty good vibration.

Is this the way you'd describe the feeling after install? Just making sure mine feels normal for having the mounts in. I noticed my shifter, which was moving like 1.5 inches side to side on acceleration is now completely still.

Also, is there a breaking in period, I'd assume they'll settle in a bit as well, yes? Thnx.

I did my tranny mount, and both engine mounts, changed to Woodhouse. The major thing I noticed was that under hard acceleration, I dont miss the 2 to 3 shift anymore, like I used to occasionally. With the old mounts, the shift lever would sometimes either bump into a blunt area, and not go into any gear, or go into 5th. I think the extra torque of hard acccel made the engine and tranny twist, changing the relative position of the shift gate to the plane of the car. One of my old mounts was cracked as well, so that didnt help.

With the Woodhouse engine mounts, it goes right into 3rd under hard acceleration, no problem. The engine did sit up a little higher after install. Its been a good change, for me.

Plus, my teeth are whiter.

I have only done my motor mounts thus far. I do have the trans mount, but havent had the chance to install it. The vibration will settle over time. After install, the interior mirror was a blur, and after 1000 miles - it seems close to normal. It definitely feels a lot tighter and there have been times when I've questioned whether I made the right move as the vibration at times can be a bit annoying. I've also wondered what it would have been like if you only changed one of the motor mounts?

Do the mounts eliminate or at least drastically improve the wheel hop. I could handle some vibration if the car doesn't violently wheel hop and reduce my 1/4 mile times

Thanks, guys, that really helps. I figured they'd need some settling in time, so 500-1000 mis is cool. Yes about the mirror too, I though mine had a buzzyness to it.

BTW, my stock mounts were completely and totally anihilated.

I put mine on last month and have already gone through the break-in period, felt the same thing as everyone else posted above.

I was shocked how cracked my stock mounts were too! Glad I changed them out:2tu:

Braver than me. Had my Woodhouse motor and tranny mounts in the car for all of 6 miles. Took it back and put the old stock ones back in. Purchasing the car new, I though I had ruined it after having that mod installed.

Glad it has worked for some. Wasn't at all for me. Way, way too much vibration out of the gate. Then again I don't track the car or race it so those that do, I know it will help. Shifted a lot better, that I did notice in the total 12 miles of driving. Couldn't bring myself to go through the break in period, escpecially the granny way I drive. Probably would take me 3,000 miles to break them in. That is 3 years of driving for me.

What you described is exactly what I experienced on my 06'.

They do not totally eliminate the wheel hop, but reduces it big time.
BTW one of my stock mounts was cracked too, there seems to be a real problem with that.

Yea, someone got my tag line, lol, I was wondering if I'd get a moderator slap on that one, I was cracking myself up when I typed it in ... thought oops, I better change it, then, nah, too funny.

There are 2 engine mounts and 1 trans mount.

Nice weather today, should be able to test the hop improvement & get some miles on them.

My engine mounts look like a lion was using them a teething toy, the trans mount just looks beaten and worn.

I know I'm nitpicking here... but isn't it just one (1) mount? Or do you put in more than one per vehicle?
As mentioned in the above post - 2 engine mounts & 1 transmission mount.

I only had the engine mounts in my '06 and I really liked them. At first there was plenty of vibration, but they broke in after a few hundred miles and most of the vibration went away.

They definitely give a feeling of being more 'connected' with the car, and they reduce wheel hop as well.:2tu:

Well after a beautiful sunny 60 mile drive today, they're already settling in, the vibration already is quite decreased. The slop is completely gone, the car feels brand new, Dodge should do some sorta deal with Woodhouse because these should be on the car from the factory ... what an improvement.

Mine feels like I can feel the throwout bearing now when the clutch is let out, is that what your talking about?

I track my 06. It was night and day after I put in the Woodhouse mounts. The T56 shifts much smoother especially on a downshift from 4th to 3rd and high RPM. The car is smoother and stiffer. No engine roll. I do not think I would have installed them for a street only Viper. But for track use: DEFINTELY.
