Would anyone be interested in a better fix for side sills ?

If I made a kit that would eliminate the sidesill screw issue, who would be interested in it? I know there is a fix for it now with rivets, but I understand the rivets eventually start to spin when taking out the screws? Just curious.

When I repair them, I open up the hole and install a 1/4 x 20 well plug and bolt. They pop rivet in ... but I have never had one spin after they were installed. I have had the sills off of my car numerous times and never had a problem. I have been doing this for several years and never lost a bolt or had a insert spin on the sill removal. What is your idea ? I am always open to new ideas.
Later,
Joe

Couldn't a top notch welder tack in place oh so carefully "whatever size receiver nut" you chose in place from under the metal lip? That seems like the best fix to me.

What picture? I never sent a picture?? heh!

I am looking for a correct tool to do this. I think I found a way better fix and also prevents spinning of the rivet. I will post soon.
