Looking to buy a mint condition '96 or '97 B/W GTS Coupe with less than 4,000 miles. Must be in excellent condition, original and has some paperwork (bonus points for the original window sticker). These guys are way off on the price, particularly if you want to import to the US. It would be 5 years before the car was worth the initial cash outlay in today's dollars

It's been for sale for quite a while if that tells you anything.

Hated selling my 96 GTS coupe back in 2009, but at the time it was necessary. Now, I want it back, but 70k seems kinda steep!

That one at Ledendary is Like Brand New...Then again...with such low Kms...You probably would have to keep an eye on making sure everything is tip top..even though if has low k's
96-97 GTS arent cheap....
But then again...Your getting the Best car ever made man!!! LOL
Its almost 20 yrs old and they have maintained values quite well.
Bite the Bullet...They will only go up in value...Its not like theirs 30 GTS for sale on a weekly basis like others so-called Supercars...LOL

If you actually figure it out, its quite cheap for a USA buyer. With the dollar exchange it would cost you as much as some of the ebay advertised ones for 59900 and way more miles on those guys. This is probable one of if not the lowest mileage 96 around. It would not be worth buying it to drive it, just collect it. If you were to drive your buy, then I would say, save your money and look for one with around 15K miles on it and around 50K in price with no stories and clean.

Not many for sale at any given time, so your options are limited and thus the supply and demand factor comes to play.

Price listed on their web site is called out as USD so no savings on conversion rate. A savvy buyer would want to confirm import duty as well before agreeing to a price. This is far from one of the lowest mileage '96 GTS's around. I think you'd be surprised how many of these with sub 500 miles exist. I know of two with less than 300 miles that sold in the last six months that were still on MSO, one with less than 20 miles. They are out there but you need to be patient but also be ready with cash when the opportunity presents itself.

On the ebay listings...check the "sold listings" vs. completed auctions to get a better picture of what people are actually willing to pay. Only three '96 GTS sold this year with only one close to stock and had ~18,000 miles. It sold for $32K (on salvage title as previously noted in another post but no explanation for why). There are also some nice price guides out there that are more accurate than some people would like us to believe. The most recent Keith Martin American Car Collector guide shows $38,500 as the "high" range for a '96 GTS. Sure, most of us wouldn't sell our cars for that price but that doesn't mean our cars are worth substantially more than what cars are actually selling for.

I agree that a car is worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay...but not what a seller is asking. Good luck to the original poster in your search. The '96 GTS is an amazing car.

Yes I have seen the car in person, its spotless new condition. Legendary doesn't sell junk, no idea where they get there cars but some amazing low mileage cars. They had a 2006 ford GT with only 15 miles on it, how many car dealers can you go and see 5 or 6 original Shelby cobras for sale?? Look in the inventory you can check there current cars plus there sold ones. Upstairs there are some cars that I think belong to the owner including one of the last 14 hemi cuda convertible ever made that sold for over 2 million at barret jackson

Feeeck some of you people should get out and drive once in awhile or sell the cars so someone else can enjoy them. If I didn't need a truck for work I would drive the damn thing daily, compared to my truck with the only option being AC, the viper feels like a Cadillac.

There's no fun in that unless your an old fart that enjoys hoarding stuff...but then again, 40 years from now it's the old farts that hoarded stuff that are sitting on millions of dollars. Hmm.

If you lived into old age without needing to sell, at that point what do you care what the car is worth, and your kids will sell it for whatever they can get for it because the only thing that interests them is CASH, iphone and video games. Never forget the only thing you take with you when you die is a cheap suit and your memories. Vipers make great memories

Oh! That's a thing! I think my 1994, yes, indeed... it DID turn 20 this year! First I'm going to buy it a present (new brakes, an oil change, and a nice detailing), then I'm going to call my insurance company.

Then I'm going to drive it until the wheels fall off. But I was going to do that anyway.
