Hey everyone! New Viper owner here and I was wondering if anyone has tried running a ultra high performance / summer performance setup in the rear, to support better traction on the street... vs motocross/track rubber? Barely anything suggested on Tire Rack. Thanks in advance

Pretty much every tire made in Viper sizes is considered "summer performance", though some put up with less than ideal weather better than others. Granted, some are certainly more aimed at performance than other as well (like the ACR tire, Nitto 555s I think, the old PS Cups, etc.).

I believe ACRs are riding on the rear now, was looking for something with more street grip, vs track grip.

I am a fan of R888r, but the Sport Cup 2 is. a great tire.

The car came with new 355/30 Kuhmo V720 ACR 19"s on the rear, so I think I'll just slap some V730s up front in 275/35 18". ACR is by far a superior tire but the V730 looks to be a great front match.

+1 for Continental Extreme Contact Sport 2's ..have 'em on the Porsche and they're fantastic in all conditions. These Conti's are going on the Viper next.

Have been running the Nitto Invo's and they've been great for a smooth street ride with plenty of grip off the line and no tram-lining.

My Viper came with Toyo R888's which were crazy noisy and tram-lined all over the place. No experience with the R888r's.. but not interested in trying Toyo's again anytime soon.
