I have a set with only a few hundred miles on them. They have 4 heat cycles on them. Basically mounted them, drove to the track for 1 day (4 sessions), drove home and JonB hooked me up with PS2s. Pretty much brand new.
Like I said, my dealer knows I track the car, they help prep the car before track days and have no issues with warranty work. I just towed my car from the track with a broken tranny and had it back as good as new within a week. nice to have the 7/7 drivetrain warranty.
This is definately a...
I broke my transmission a couple of weeks ago on the track.. I had the car trailered directly to the dealer from the track and got it fixed no questions asked. In fact I bring the car to them just about every time before I go to the track to get it looked over. They are very aware I track the...
run flats are a great tire. I tracked mine for almost full year and put about 30 heat cycles on them. I even tracked them in heavy rain.. stuck like glue.
I run mid 2:30s at Sebring and I know people that lap faster than that on run flats.
If you can't control your car with run flats...
I had problems going from 3rd to 4th on the race track until I installed a short throw shifter. I haven't missed a shift since.
However, my tranny did blow up last weekend at the track. Its covered under the 7/70 warranty, no questions asked.
I had the same thing which is why I put it on the knobs for the HVAC. You can get new knobs for a few dollars and just use your 'smeared' ones for track days. If you come up with something better I'd be interested.
I mount mine with velcro on the the HVAC control nobs. I use the temp and vent postion nobs so I can turn my fan on/off in between sessions.
I agree on the traqmae... couldn't live without it now.
I'm a little far away to visit Da nat DC. I don't like the autoform due to having to replace the speaker panel. I've seen a job that didn't turn out real well.
I'll call JonB thanks.
I installed these on my car last weekend and they work as advertised, bleeding your brakes is now a one man job. These are great little devices however, at the risk of a little embarrassment, I did learn a valuable lesson that I thought I would share…
When you have finished bleeding the rear...
I am looking to paint my calipers and would like some advice from others who have done this. I track my car so heat will be a problem. I also don't want to loose the Viper logo.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'd also like to hear from anyone that has had issues doing this...
