Recommendations for Gen III Cell Phone Mount Request

Hi All,
Does anyone have a recommendation for a cell phone mount for a Gen III?

(No I don't intend to take any phone calls! I want to mount my Traqmate display unit on the dash to see lap times as they occur). BTW, I highly recommend the Traqmate - the telemetry readouts are extremely valuable in improving your car control skills and lap times.

I mount mine with velcro on the the HVAC control nobs. I use the temp and vent postion nobs so I can turn my fan on/off in between sessions.

I agree on the traqmae... couldn't live without it now.

I also use velcro right now on the dash. But I've had the adhesive on the back of the velcro partially melt on hot days in the paddock at events this spring (Bakersfield, CA at Buttonwillow Viper Days), so now have a 'smear' of adhesive on part of the dash. So now trying to avoid that.

I had the same thing which is why I put it on the knobs for the HVAC. You can get new knobs for a few dollars and just use your 'smeared' ones for track days. If you come up with something better I'd be interested.

I bought the chrome trim ring for the cup holder from MGW, on Yelloh's Recomendation, and it holds a cell ophone perfectly.

You can buy a phone clip designed for your phone model at:

Do not buy their mounts. Instead, go to the hardware store and buy a roll of double sided removable tape and mount it to the dash. Works like a charm.

I've got one installed in all of my vehicles.
