P1494 - LEAK DETECTION PUMP SWITCH OR MECHANICAL FAULT . There is a service bulletin for certain years pertaining to this problem . Some cars will fill the vacuum line going to the LDP with oil , causing this dtc to trip .

You can also re-tune the factory pcm . The advantage of tuning the factory pcm is that there are some things that you can do that you can't with the vec 2 . You are also reducing the chance of having drivability / electrical issues by not adding an extra control module and wiring harness to you...
If you are really set on changing over the pcm's , you could get a body harness from a 96 RT10 . The 96 RT10 has the gen 1 motor , but uses a jtec for obd2 compliance . You would also have to change the cam gear , as the trigger patterns are different , I think the crank trigger would be ok ...
Your a/c will work but not properly . The problem is that when the a/c turns on the stock pcm is programmed to increase the cooling fan speed in response to the a/c line pressures and temperatures . The mopar race controller does not seem to talk with a/c controller. Therefore if you are sitting...
I believe the sbec pcm's that are used on other chryco vehicles may test the heater on shut down , but the jtec ecu used on the vipers most definitely test on start up . Basically the heater test only runs if the engine coolant temp is within a few degrees of ambient temp . If those conditions...
Hi , the 03 and up jtec ecu's still have the tach output . You will need to get a pigtail termial (available from any chrysler/dodge dealer) and will have to drill out the back of the pcm connector at pin 31 . I believe it is connector 3 , if the ecu is in the car it would be the connector...
Re: Random High Idle / Sticking Idle - <master thread>
Ok , your situation is different . I have found that the 92-95 SBEC vipers are very tempremental with the idle stablility when you do engine modifications . Please call me , as I believe I can help you with this problem.
Re: Random High Idle / Sticking Idle - <master thread>
I’m going to chime in here, because I think I might be able to help out with this. From my experience fixing many Vipers idle hang, there seems to be two main causes.
The first, and most common cause, is a slight shift in the closed...
Here in So. Cal. we have OBD testing durring the smog check . There are several built in C.A.R.B. tests that the factory ecu performs . Some of these are intrusive test , where the ecu changes certain running conditions to test specific components such as the catalytic converters . When you go...
