2003 SRT10 Stereo (CD won't load) Advice please

Update: "I feel like when man first created fire." LOL. Success! Took my time....almost gave up a few times. Got a little nervous unplugging the starter button and a/c controls, kind of frustrating to unplug them, but got it! I never did get the center console completely off. Couldn't figure...

2003 SRT10 Stereo (CD won't load) Advice please

Thanks. I found one and it is in route. (Used OEM. Hoping, just plug and play.) I am wrench-challenged, but going to give it a shot, take my time. Thanks for the response.

2003 SRT10 Stereo (CD won't load) Advice please

ViperLand, Well after 21.5 years, my OEM stereo/6-CD changer is having 'issues.' Normal drive, CD player stops, I was then able to eject all 6 cds. Let car cool, now "CD-Error" as it tries to load, peeps back in/out, won't load. Searched forums, youtube.....found a way to cut out cardstock...

To sell or not to sell

Drive that sweet Viper and enjoy it. I've got 24K miles and counting on my '03. Never part with it!

Oil pressure - is 70-80psi normal?

'03 here. Similar comment to first response. Owned the vehicle for about 6 years now, always running 'high' on the gauge, almost pinging it. Does seem to lower in the 50-60 range when hot and at idle. I really don't think you have a problem. That is just the way the Viper runs. High...

Yes Sir. Thanks Free. Like the Viper, hardly turn on the radio --just when my little girls are in the back seat:)

    I destroyed a Hellcat

Thanks Bob! Yes, the 8 speed (in paddle shift + track mode) is absolutely amazing. I did get nailed (in the Viper though) by one of those 2 door spec-v caddy's. It was OBVIOUSLY heavily modified b/c A) he literally did a U-turn and chased me down and B) he walked me like I was standing...

    I destroyed a Hellcat

Good post Free. Think the Hellcat owner just couldn't put the power down. I own both. A Gen III and a Hellcat (Charger). Off the line the Hellcat (stock 275s) is damn near impossible to get to hook up. Launch control helps though. Just too much power. Let my brother take the Gen III...

Congrats! Amazing how many trips here and there you will come up with (excuses to drive it). After 5 years of owning mine IT NEVER gets old to drive this car.

Advice: Looking for a Gen III/IV, question about higher mileage

Good advice above. At 22K miles on my '03 Gen III, a good 'list' to note/check PRIOR to purchasing: Prepare yourself on both Door Regulators on a Gen III. (A matter of time and $350/each). Also, as mentioned, oil cooler lines seeping and power steering lines (check for leakage). Lastly, I...

IT'S OFFICIAL!!... bye bye VIPER :(

"If your dad only knew":) I love my Gen III w/22K miles. I take VERY good care of it and drive it every weekend I can. (Had 4K in '11 when I bought it.) Some Vipers are just so rare/nice, I'm sure the owners hardly ever drive them OR have several vipers and drive/track them---when they...

    New member with maintenance question

Great advice above. I have an '03 purchased in '11 w/3900 miles on it. Now 22K, love driving it. It had no service documentation, so 'no taking chances.' Replaced all fluids and new spark plugs as well. Who knows how little my car was driven/or sat in a garage. Also, yes, check those...

    Advice on Viper Repair

You're a better person than me. I'm 'freakin' out' over having a Dealer do the AirBag Recall (now a 2nd Airbag Recall) and the car will be 'out of my hands' so to speak. You're kindness/patience and consideration unfortunately 'enabled' this shop to take so long. Think most of us would be...

    Advice on Viper Repair

I think ViperJeff said it best. After the time you've waited, I wouldn't worry too much about blind siding them....I'd be more concerned like Jeff said on 'getting your Viper' back in your possession FIRST, then you can update them / serve them with a lawsuit (if you can't come to a reasonable...

    VPA Announcement

Nice job Greg! I guess I feel kind of like the guy asking the CEO "how's the stock and are we getting a bonus?" LOL. That said, I haven't used JonB (yet). We will be keeping our discount on parts via JonB / Scharf as VCA members, correct?? I have used Don Scharf and Father/son are...

What did you drive before a Viper?

Let's see going backwards in time. 2013 Daytona R/T (Still have), 2011 Corvette C6 inferno orange, '08 Torred Charger SRT8 (wish I had never sold this one loved this car), 07 Mustang California Special GT, Volvo C70, Mercedes E320 Sport (bullet proof / great car), Mits 3000GT SL, Ford...

Drag Strip Test - C7 Z06 vs Hellcat vs Viper vs ZR1

Nice write up. Impressive 'real world' times on the hellcat, given its' 4,500+ lbs, "only" 275s out back. Not bad to nail these times, then drive back home with 2 in the back seat, A/C on and 20+mpg......Got to hand it to "SRT" oh, sorry......"Dodge."
