Need replacement tires for stock Gen II RT/10

FYI, I got a set of Goodrich G-Force Rivals for my 2002 RT10 a year ago. No problem finding stock sizes. $1600 out the door.

Drivers side door getting stuck open, forcing close creates loud pop

Like Steve says...maintenance. Road grit and grease become a grinding compound.

Hi y'all I'm baaaakkk. Sold my 2000 RT10 about 6 years ago and almost instantly regretted it. It was a sweet ride with minor mods, Steel Grey, cognac interior. I had it for 10 years and sold it with 8500 miles on it! No tickets, no dents, no close calls. Figured the odds would catch up with me...

    Gen1, Gen II appreciating

Just thot I'd bring attention to a recent article in Hemmings ( Dec 2012 ) about collector interest in Vipers starting to awaken. Unadulterated, original examples bring the most $$$.

Fascia to Hood Adjustment...yes I searched.

I'll be watching this one. 2000 RT10, same problem. Never bothered me enough to starting taking stuff apart. If you get some good info I might fix mine too. Good luck.

    Gen l & ll classifieds

Noticed there are very few Gen l & ll classifieds. Think that's because the market's so soft or are people just holding tight for now? Seem to be a lot of SRT10 ads (by comparison).

    Stealerships.

Just curious if anyone has taken their Viper into a dealership with the engine light on knowing the code reference, to see what respose they get from the service dept. My engine light came on (2000 RT10) and the PCM put out a 455 code (large evap leak) also known as a loose gascap. The rubber...

You really don't want cruise ...

This only proves there's nothing common about common sense. It's the same mind-set that makes 4x4ers think they can stop on a dime in the snow.

Ever lock yourself In the car?

Call the Tender people. Same thing happened to me; green light, batt ng. They had an explanation, don't recall what. Call 'em.

    Question ...

If you do lose the srew in the hood, it falls to the bottom and can be retieved with a small magnet by attaching it ot any kind of thin, bendable wire and working it down an access hole nearest the bottom of the hood. I about choked when I lost the first one but this works every time.

    Considering buying a 2000 RT/10 Have questions

For what it's worth my 2000 RT10 steel grey/cognac is solid with no problems yet. I bought it with 1700 mi and the previous owner had already done the exhaust (MP Borla) and it sounds awsome! The ABS/noABS debate will run forever. Personally I wouldn't let that stop me (no pun intended). My GTX...

    Pulley system for the clamshell

Sorry guys, didn't realize you wanted to REMOVE the hood. Obviously my system is just to open the hood when help isn't around. Carry on.

    Pulley system for the clamshell

You mean like this? A trip to Home Depot and about an hour or two will do it. Of course you have to be a little handy with rope and make sure you're mounting the pulley to a rafter. The loops fit over the corners and pulls the hood up. About $15 in materials.

No one will ever ask you "what are those, speaker grills?" again!

You'd actually put those on a Viper???

Nice Snake! I've got the same. Nothing more fun than runnin' the Snake up the mountains.

Why so many single car accidents?

Allright, I gotta get in here..... Find a nice windey mountain road and feel the G's, take it to 5K on the str8 aways and down shift to the next curve and feel the G's again and listen to the V10 growl. It's a ballet I never get tired of. That's where the Snake rules. The caveat is: get...

Anybody like the Cognac Connelly Leather Interior

Cognac anytime. Be a pretty dull place if we all liked the same color. (2000 steel grey/cognac RT)

    Empty

I can't imagine running out of gas in a Viper. The embarassment factor alone would seem incentive enough. Reminds me of the old days when Porche drivers blew their fuel pumps running out of gas because the gas cooled the pump.

Gen II are a automotive masterpiece

Nothing says Viper like the Gen I & II's. It's the reason we all bought our Vipers. They have a unique body style that can't be mistaken for any other car. The III's are great cars with more power and a real drop top, but let's face it, a more generic look. Nuf said.
