Actually the V1 itself just slides right out instantly. You basically take the V1 suction cup mount, remove the cups, and bolt it to the new mirror mount. The V1 slides in or is removed just as it is with the suction cup mount, because that's the actual mounting surface, the mirror mount is...
Come to think of it, you guys are probably right. That circuit has a delay built in for the interior lights. I'll go test mine in a minute and let you know.
Added: Yep, the V1 automatically shuts down a minute or 2 after car is off and doors are shut. Good to go.....
vinny2, I'm not aware of a switched source at the mirror in my 06, not sure about any other Vipers. Since mine is pretty much a toy just turning it off is not an issue for me personally, might be different if it were my daily driver. The alternative would be to run 12' of wire from a switched...
three twentyfifths of an inch? Huh? The V1 mounts for our Vipers use the 3/4" mount as the mirror stem is approximately 3/4" in diameter.
