When the V1 is first powered on, it sequences through the display and sounds, lasts a few seconds. I doubt it's a wiring issue, either it has power and ground or it does not. Use the cigarette lighter adaptor and see if it's the same.
Mine did not throw a code. Smoked out the right side (could clearly see it out the side mirror) under WOT and sooted the exhaust tip. Under Mark's (Woodhouse) advice, I replaced the O2 sensors on the offending side. Problem instantly solved. BTW, I was ready to battle removing them. As...
Is the inside of one side's exhaust tip really dirty? If it's coming from only one side my bet is a failed O2 sensor. There are 2 per side (different PNs for upstream and down stream). My '06 started sooting up the right side exhaust tip and smoking at WOT and it was an O2 sensor. I just bought...
I have had Mark at Woodhouse and will continue to have them trailer my '06 Paxton car in for service and mods 1200 miles each way.. BEST money I've spent.. You will not be sorry.. THANKS Mark!

I sent my 06 1200 miles back to Woodhouse for an 08 hood (and some other mods). Mark mentioned that Viper Yellow was one of the harder colors to match. The color match is perfect and the stripes line up perfectly. No blending... I'm sure they shot a bunch of test panels...
Can you discreetly have someone come out and cut the apron out from the asphalt to the sidewalk and repour that piece and blend into the sides? Looks like that would spread the incline over more that twice the distance..
