Atlanta area wrenchers familiar with clutch slave replacement?

I am in Atlanta and I have dropped my tranny 5 times now(assortment of reasons...new slave, new clutch, new transmission, etc). It isn't hard, but if you do want to replace your clutch with an OEM unit, I have a brand new one from Luk(maker of the factory clutch) that I will sell to ya for $75...

    Is a tune a requirement going to H.S. 1.7 RR's on a 2001 GTS? ---

You ever seen GM rockers?? The ones in the Viper are battleships compared to the flimsy LSX rockers.

I have had enough with these battery/charging system issues

So a bit of an update to this thread. I installed that new EEM in the car and while I haven't done another parasitic draw test just yet, the LED's in my door handles are now shutting off. They would never shut off before. Encouraging sign and I "hope" to verify lack of a parasitic draw next...

    '01 GTS O2 Wideband advice

I don't know of a more affective way to log ignition timing, coolant temp, IAT, fuel trims, and rpm than through the OBD2 port or running an aftermarket EMS. Maybe while logging all PIDs at once there would be sufficient lag, but I think logging a few at a time there should be more than enough...

    '01 GTS O2 Wideband advice

I used the NGK AFX on my old vette and that thing worked like a charm. Right now I am using the AEM on the Viper because that is one of the widebands that ScanXL supports. In that comparison test, the other widebands always read some increment leaner than what the actual a/f was. All this...

Congrats. Mine transformed the car, but the suspension it was on was blown to hell so likely anything would have been worlds better.

What pressure should I run at the track with my Nitto 345/25/20 ...going tomorrow ---

Re: What pressure should I run at the track with my Nitto 345/25/20 ...going tomorrow Do a quick burnout to clear any rocks and whatnot off the tires and to put a little heat in them. I turn them over just until I see a touch of smoke. Usually a ~2sec burnout or so.

Re: What pressure should I run at the track with my Nitto 345/25/20 ...going tomorrow 25 to 30 will be fine. I don't even bother adjusting the tire pressure on my pilot sports and still cut 1.9X 60's almost every pass.

I have had enough with these battery/charging system issues

My "new" EEM hasn't shown up yet so I don't have an update. Any dealer should be able to get one. You could also buy one from Viper Parts of America. I bought mine off of King Snake and the 97 GTS he is parting out.

I have had enough with these battery/charging system issues

Did not but I will do that next to confirm. The alarm would always beep at me when I would close the latch so I never suspected it.

I have had enough with these battery/charging system issues

It is underneath the dash on the drivers side, above your right shin. It is held up by a rubber strap. Look up in there and you can't miss it.

I have had enough with these battery/charging system issues

And another update. Tom Sessions shot me a PM to unhook the EEM under the dash and put that 20amp fuse back in place and see if my draw dropped. So, I replaced the 20amp fuse, pulled the EEM out from under the dash, and unhooked it. My AMP draw fell to 4.5mA. I will call him tomorrow to get...

When you pulled the 20amp fuse inside the car did it do the same thing mine does?

I have had enough with these battery/charging system issues

Well I tested the hood switch and it didn't make a difference, so I am assuming that isn't my problem. However, I did go inside the car and start pulling fuses. When I pull the 20amp fuse for the dome/wipers/radio/mess. ctr., the car will hold 160mA until I see those LED's in the door handles...

I have had enough with these battery/charging system issues

I did some more researching and it appears that the door lock LED's are supposed to turn off after the car has been shut down for ~30sec or so. I can confirm that the LED's on my car never, ever shut off. While I don't think this alone is what is draining the battery, these should be shutting...

I have had enough with these battery/charging system issues

So I need to pull the fuse panel on the inside of the car and see which one of those drops the draw? Is that what you're saying?

I have had enough with these battery/charging system issues

Also note, that I can actually hear something cycling when I hook the power back up to the car. I checked my manual and it says that this relay is for the A/C compressor clutch. Can anyone confirm this? Perhaps what I am hearing cycle is the clutch itself?
