Talk about frustration, I have been adjusting this thing so it won't rub for the past 2 days and it is just not having it. I have been using the towel technique and by the time I have the spot that is rubbing(shoulder area on the door panel, tree fastener is brand new and installed correctly)...
Can anyone comment on these - http://www.snakeoylproducts.com/product.php?productid=17565&cat=339&page=1
I have searched high and low and I can't for the life of me find anyone who has run them or is currently running them. I called snakeoyl and they told me the shocks are built by Afco. They...
If the gaps are perfect, how is the door sagging? On my car, the passenger side interior panel of the door catches on the "panel" of the cabin up by the shoulder of the seat. My car has an aftermarket interior and I am going to attack the panel attachement to the door before trying anything...
Setup is K&N replacement filters, smooth tubes, M&M headers w/ testpipes, and a 3" Corsa Exhaust...the car does not have a tune.
The dyno is a dynojet 248C SAE corrected. I kept all 3 runs on the page so people can see the difference that IAT's and coolant temps make on the stock PCM...
The car rides like a boat, not a sports car. My front right shock is blown an leaking fluid down the housing. I am sure the others are in some state of leaking as well. These shocks need far stiffer spring rates and much more aggressive dampening IMO. The Viper is a sports car, not a...
I had an 09 VOI 10 coupe and now I have a 99 GTS. The Gen 2 just embodies that "muscle car" feeling and has lines unlike anything else. Thus far, I am happy I made the change.
Good runs on the previous setups. It's funny you think the clutch is dragging. In the Evo world, they had a host of issues with ACT clutches not allowing high rpm shifts for the same reasons. I would think you are probably on the right track with your suspicions.
Excellent numbers! Have you been down the strip with any of your previous setups? H/C, H/C/Nitrous, etc... If so, what times and mph were you able to achieve with each configuration?
I have been trying to find a decently priced coilover to purchase for the past week and have had the exact same dilemma. I am very interested.
One caveat though, if they even remotely ride like the POS Aldans that are on the car right now I won't touch them with a 10' pole.
Anyone have any experience with these: http://www.snakeoylproducts.com/product.php?productid=17565&cat=339&page=1
These are the most cost affective option out there aside from Aldan coilovers which are beyond crap. My Gen II has them on it right now and they are absolutely horrible. I suppose...
Sorry all, I really appreciate the help. While my offer was made and accepted on this car, another gentleman far more local to Ga came out of the woodwork with another pristine example and I was able to work a deal with him. I really do appreciate all of the help. I have already conveyed this...
I made an offer on the GTS listed below and wanted to know if anyone around his area could recommend a Viper mechanic to go over the car and assess it's overall condition. The owner of the vehicle recommended an Eddy Martin(?) at a local Dodge dealership, but does this name ring a bell with any...
PM me with any questions, the for sale thread should explain pretty much everything. Only reason for removing and selling is I will be selling the car.

My 09 had the same thing when I changed my plugs at 5k miles. Wonder if it is just a gen IV thing? The car burns no measurable amount of oil between the 4k mile change intervals and runs like a champ.
A good condition lower mileage 08+ Coupe should pull mid-upper 60's. One with higher mileage but again, well taken care of should be low to mid 60's.
All IMO of course.
