I believe "global warming" means temperature extremes or swings in different areas which includes COLD! :( It's already not helping. Do get that Viper snowmobile.
According to Dan at DC above, we just might have that ugly fan clutch somewhere - I'll look under the hood tomorrow to make sure! I could swear we don't but I'm too old to swear on my memory.
New or used ZR1? Yes, there are still new ones out there. 1ZR or 3ZR? You're out of luck if you want a new 3ZR. If used, the NADA guides roughly say you are on the money with regards to trade-in value for your 08 coupe vs the 09 ZR1. Do think hard if there is any possibility that you still...
I've been looking into this myself for awhile. You can't go wrong with the Strykers if you don't mind spending the $$. I think it's a little overkill for what we want. You could spend less that will accomplish the job (about half) on reworking your heads. Anymore specifics on the "torque...
I believe the OP was talking about oil pressure, not what oil to use. 80 is a little high for being fully warmed up. Mine is 80 when cold but about 50-60 when warm. This is at idle.
Good to hear it worked out for you; I was not as fortunate. I had one piece headers that were a difficult install but "Viper Techs" at two different dealerships were confident of intalling/removing them.......they ended up doing some damage to my Viper. The techs were really nothing more than...
The Viper is a simpler car than the Vette thus more reliable. As far as your height, I think a bigger factor is your proportions - if you have a tall upper body, you might run into trouble with the top of the windshield. The Viper can be a daily driver unless you get snow and ice.
That little screw way in the fender - it's a real sob but it is possible to get it loosened which is all it needs; no need to remove it. I've done it several times; just got to get the right wrench in there.
Is the Gen V a sure thing? I thought it still has to pass the business case by Sergio's Mafia committee. It's interesting to see the whining here (myself included but I didn't bother posting) but all will be forgotten when the curtains go up and the jaws drop........and wallets open. I...
The ugly truth is - you lost your license to drive. Too many speeding tickets, right? So now the wife is showing you how to drive with restraint. :( :lmao:
It just has to be dry but do be aware that traction is reduced at cold temps (under 60 F). 95 is a great cruising speed if you can get away with it. Using a radar detector?
I have to accept the risks to enjoy the car which doesn't include a garage queen. I try to park with enough room on both sides but then you can't control who comes and goes after you park.
