    I tell ya, you jus can't take the truck outta some people! I think the towing warnings for this car has to do with the suspension, not the drivetrain. The drivetrain obviously is strong enough to pull an Airstream but a Viper pulling trailers does look funny. What will you do if you damage...

    No problem as long as you're not idling a thousand or so rpm when in neutral and engine is fully warmed.

    VIDEO - Viper Dyno Day and Exhaust Sound Tests

    I greatly appreciated all the great video sound clips. Cobrapacks were new to me. I thought those sounded pretty dim good. Corsas sounded better than I thought.

    There was mention of the ACR which set the 7:22 lap record so I didn't think I was going too far on a tangent. I have more interest in street driven cars for lap records. Anyway, I do agree it would be terrific to see the ACR-X beat the 599XX time.

    I certainly like the black finish on it. I believe there were issues with the throttle body idle hangup that the manufacturer and DC are working through.

    I believe the factory hoops were put in mainly for cosmetics - they do look good; so good that I'm very hesitant to replace them with stronger, more functional pieces. If I were to replace them with something that Nader is talking about, I would much rather the black powdercoat than the chrome...

    I was sitting on the fence kind of like you five years ago and already had a few Vettes. One Viper owner I worked with said Vettes are good Viper starter kits. I thought that was funny; I still like Vettes a lot and will add one but I'm not willing to give up the Viper for one.

    That is a very odd dream. I find that as I get older, my dreams (the very few I can remember) get more odd. No nightmares - those were gone a very long time ago. The only nightmares I get now are real ones!

    I agree - not mean enough and not American enough; I do see a little ZR1 in it though. I am impressed with the 3.3 acceleration number for a 6 liter naturally aspirated!
